Spoilers Strange New Worlds General Discussion Thread

I dunno. What do you call that "Yes" thing Data does when he kills the Duras sisters and all of their friends?

Wesley's Kirk seems to be based, refreshingly, on quite a collection of details and bits of behavior demonstrated by the character over the early episodes of the original series to a greater degree than on the larger-than-life aspects of performance that folks have come to associate with him.

The manner in which he gets himself killed in "Tomorrow, Tomorrow, and Tomorrow" is nearly perfect - trying to brave his way through the situation by projecting confidence. "You're bluffing/Try me/BANG!"

I mean, that shoulda worked, except he's not on the Captain Kirk Show just now.

His conversation with La'An about growing up with a father in the service is one of my favorite scenes with the character so far.

I just want to say I can't like this enough. I think you've summed up why I flipped on this Kirk as hard as I have. (It actually makes me like A Quality of Mercy LESS.)

It does make me hope we might get to see George Sr. at some point.

Of course what we REALLY need this season is for some really great PIKE EPISODES.

So it looks like she's in Calico, California. It's apparently an old ghost town out in the Mojave desert.

Could we be getting a Strange New Worlds western episode? It wouldn't be out of line with the rest of the franchise. Pretty much every series has a western themed episode.

There's no where in Canada, at least not this time of year, where they could really get that western look, so it makes sense filming in California.

If I remember correctly the famous Vancouver-area-"TV-western town" got damaged last year or so - not sure if it was because of the forest fires or the big flood/water damage that even swept part of the highway/bridges away.

But Yay for a SNW western episode if that's indeed what's happening.
