Be glad you didn't hear the song about "veggie-tables."
Thing is, Klingons are constantly singing opera or battle shanties, how would they know they're doing it involuntarily? There's nothing out of the ordinary about walking a Klingon ship and hearing such singing going on, that it's not going to bother anyone if they began doing so. Singing K-Pop on the other hand is completely out of character. For the same reason the human characters didn't like being forced to sing? Just because you enjoy doing a thing when you feel like it doesn't mean it's fun doing it by being forced to, right?
Thank you! Yeah, the K-Pop works better.Indeed. Here's the scene itself if you're interested:
They filmed a version of that scene with the Klingons doing Klingon Opera. It's on the DVD and Blu-Ray of season 2.Speaking of that episode, although it was funny to see Klingons singing an autotuned trash modern song, it wouldn't made more sense to have them sing Klingon opera.
Ok why aren't humans using alien culture sounds, then?Klingons using human culture sounds embarrassing to me.

Yes, it's absurd.Oh, that's right. The choice of songs had nothing to do with that. It's just because it's a western human english show made in the 21st century
It's because it was a mostly Human crewed ship that triggered the event.Ok why aren't humans using alien culture sounds, then?

That's certainly possible, and would work to explain things, though it's not stated in the episode. It's because it was a mostly Human crewed ship that triggered the event.
It started when Uhura sent a musical through the anomoly. That's why it's Human music.
It's nowhere near as absurd as "Spock's Brain" and I sure can take more of that!Yes, it's absurd.
Beyond absurd. Hopefully never done again in Trek.
Uhura says what music she's sending into the anomaly. That's certainly possible, and would work to explain things, though it's not stated in the episode.
I'd watch Spocks Brain before this one. It's nowhere near as absurd as "Spock's Brain" and I sure can take more of that!
I know and I can't watch that scene without thinking of Indiana Jones.Uhura says what music she's sending into the anomaly.
It's a TV show.Klingons using human culture sounds embarrassing to me.
More looking at other from an in universe perspective as to what might be "embarrassing."It's a TV show.
That's part of a franchise that had Space Hippies,It's a TV show.
I think it's fine to expect some internal consistency in fiction. It's a TV show.
Disco had thirteen episodes because of a co-production deal it had with Netflix, which SNW does not have. And that deal has expired for Disco, which is why the coming fifth and final season will only have ten episodes. You know... now that I think about it, the only thing I don't like about the second season is that it only has 10 episodes. Why does Discovery get 13-14 while SNW, which I consider vastly superior, on top of being episodic, only 10? It's unfair!
And things cost a whole lot more.Disco had thirteen episodes because of a co-production deal it had with Netflix, which SNW does not have. And that deal has expired for Disco, which is why the coming fifth and final season will only have ten episodes.
