I suspect the purpose of that was to primarily give a sense of immense scale. A Galaxy class could theoretically fit inside the “big hole” in between the upper and lower Warbird hulls. The thing was freakin’ huge!
I have a feeling that she's going to cause some major drama cause she thinks she can.
Tawny has already said at conventions that she kept touching things on the bridge and broke various props.
I'm still surprised they didn't let Ransom tag along too. The fourth wall jokes write themselves. Be that a good thing or bad.

I loved that shot of a defiant flying through the gap in... I don't remember.
Oh yeah - I think those scenes came about late in the Dominion War when the Tal Shiar and Obsidion Order swooped in with their fleets ("The Die is Cast"), only to have their asses promptly handed to them.
And so we've passed the hump. That is we're on the fourth of seven Trek-less Thursdays between the finale of Picard and the premiere of SNW and there's now fewer Thursdays ahead than behind with no Trek productions before we get more SNW.
The Trek Camel is appeased.
Feels like an eternity. No new Star Wars productions on D+ either. Waiting semi-patiently for the new Ahsoka series to drop.
