With all due respect, maybe you are reading too much in to it. Star Trek is a welcome escape from such things and I would like the current production team to keep it that way. As soon as politics are introduced, things will start to get controversial and people will start to argue, flame and troll each other. That is not what Star Trek is about.

That happens even without the politics.
Star Trek has always a "political" bent. Often commenting on current events through a SF lens. It's why there are episodes on racism, witch hunts, war and poverty.

I have no idea how you can watch Picard talk about how great it is that Humanity no longer uses money or Bashir argue with Garak about whether or not duty to the state should be the prime value of a culture or see Kira talk about how every Cardassian on Bajor deserved whatever the Resistance did to them or watch the HoloDoc argue with B'Elanna about whether or not to use medical data obtained from Cardassian occupiers or Kirk arm a faction of a pre-industrial planet with guns because the Klingons are arming the other side or watch T'Kuvma promise to make the Klingon Empire great again or watch Elnor yell at Jean-Luc for abandoning Romulan refugees -- and imagine to yourself that Star Trek isn't political.

Does this mean that we only have three seasons of Strange New World’s left? Could this five year mission be expanded to seven years like other popular Star Trek series?

If Star Trek really is political then it should not have a biased agenda, it should be neutral but follow traditional Star Trek morals and Federation principles… otherwise it would become propaganda sponsored by whoever can afford to film it!

"Spock's Brain" had the underlying strata of two genders divided by a deep technological and cultural divide that left one in possession of cutting edge equipment and a sophisticated underground community while the other led a Neanderthal-type existence on the surface using club weapons and rocks to attack and defend. Even in Trek's cheesiest and goofiest moments there's underlying politics and a study of human nature.

Star Trek is propaganda. It is not an unbiased source and calling it otherwise is missing the point, pretty much from the word go.

Yeah, not sure how you are missing the political commentary in Star Trek. The pilot for SNW was pretty in your face about it, just to name one. You had Stacey Abrams, a prominent member of the U.S. Democratic Party as the President of Earth in the 4th season finale of Discovery. If one can’t see the political messaging there… well, I’m just not sure how one could miss it.
