So Paramount+ has no excuse not releasing the trailer now. They released the first trailer for Season 2 of Picard over 6 months ago. Why are we waiting for a teaser to be released a month before the series premieres? Why the hell is Paramount being such stiffs?! ANYONE FROM THE INSIDE GOT ANY DAMN INFORMATION OR WHAT?! I'm actually getting angry now...there's no justification for this lack of coverage and advertising! NONE! THEY ARE INTENTIONALLY SABOTAGING THE SUCCESS OF SNW WITH THESE ACTIONS!!! Its JUST LIKE the Star Trek Beyond lack of advertising....there's literally no info for the casual viewer to tune in...only info for the DIE HARDS! What is up with that?!

Because Star Trek Picard season 2 episode 1 just premiered. For me it's interesting that they premiered Picard while Star Trek Discovery still has three episodes remaining ( including the one that premiered the same day as the first episode of Picard.)

Yeah right now their push is to draw attention to the new Star Trek that is actually streaming at this time.

You'll probably see the marketing push begin for SNW when there are three episodes left to stream for Star Trek Picard.

But yeah you're not going to see a marketing push for another Star Trek show when there are two Star Trek shows still airing new episodes, and one of them is just beginning its new season.

He said he turned down the chance to audition for a minor supporting role in SNW, he didn't say it was to play Phlox. I don't think he'd have to audition to play Phlox again.

He does say that he'll probably never play Phlox again in live action because of the makeup, he'd happily voice the character though.

It sounds like you are making excuses for Paramount and their lack of advertising for SNW. Again, you didn't address the FACT that they advertised Discovery AND Picard half a year ago BEFORE the seasons premiered...you and others here are intentionally avoiding this part....why? Why are you sounding like a Paramount PR rep rather than give an honest opinion and answer to my line of questioning when it comes to uneven advertising? SNW has had nearly zero advertising for it....PERIOD! The only half assed ads we DO get from it is those Paramount Mountain ads with a couple of the actors mingling with other characters from Paramount shows...THAT'S IT! If this were another Abrams movie, and they pulled the same crap, you'd be just as outraged as I, because you know advertising is NECESSARY to spread the word about this show. They aren't doing that. This is like Star Trek Beyond all over again, except this time its for a show and not a movie. There is no justifiable excuse to not have an advertisment for the show now. None.

Yes, there is. They did a special streaming special which highlighted all of the crew including new crew. There are magazine specials forthcoming.

I will not be outraged because advertising is a delicate balance. Strike too soon and people will loose interest. Strike too late and people will not know. The window for marketing is a narrow one and saying there is zero advertising is just flat out wrong.

Its just pointless debating you people when you move the goal posts to justify Paramount's reasoning after the fact they advertised the other shows 6 months before they premiered and yet you don't state that THAT was 'too soon' or 'too late'. When, exactly SHOULD a teaser for a show be released....in YOUR opinion? Was Picard and Discovery season 2 advertising too soon 6 months ago? I mean, if you want to talk about timing, justify why that timing was perfect compared to the advertising timing for SNW? Those snippets are not the same thing as a full fledged teaser trailer. So again, YOUR argument is really lacking here, especially your weak point on 'timing'.

Never, honestly. But since they have put out elements of marketing I will say they are marketing it. Just not to the liking of all.

Because I have very little stock in "teaser trailers" of a show that the people here already know about. It's a ridiculous assumption that Paramount is burying this show when they had a streaming special, and when they showcased some elements to the press and are in the middle of advertising another show.

I'm no marketing expert but I know this-you get your biggest bang for your buck shortly after the advertisement goes live. Going live with SNW will get subscriptions now when the show isn't available yet. That's poor marketing. Timing it so that people know it's coming and then up the hype when it is about to go live is good marketing.

And the biggest thing of all? We're still talking about ! So, they are getting free marketing from the lack of marketing.

I'm going to be willing to wager that Paramount has looked at the numbers and decided that they need to time it better with so many Star Trek shows going on, vs. just Discovery or Discovery and Picard. It requires balance.

That's why the Cryptic devs no longer advertise they have show actors coming to Star Trek Online before they're actually live in the game. Because people end up missing the fact they're not actually in yet and come to the game expecting them.
