Thank you
Yeah, John Eaves called it some sort of heat vent. The smaller part of the strut could be removed to make it look more TOS.I remember reading somewhere that the struts were originally designed to look like they did on the original Enterprise, except with an extra beam that would be removed in a later refit. Then when they were making the CGI model they made the struts angled instead, which turned the gap into a cutout.
They're all, always, trying to look cool. From the classic ship to Voyager, Defiant and NX-01.My problem with Modern trek design is the ships often look flashy just to look
"kool" the kelvin timeline has too much of this "kool" design. I hope they tone it down for SNW
Clearly they are doing it wrong. They're all, always, trying to look cool. From the classic ship to Voyager, Defiant and NX-01.
Never once have they sat down and said, "right we want a dull looking ship with nothing flashy."
Not spindly enough.
The next month's PRs will probably be devoted to Picard S2. Look for new SNW material around the time of episode 4 or 5.Surprised they haven't released any new publicity shots for SNW yet, they keep using the same Pike one from Discovery Season 2.
Yeah, but they were probably taken by the article writers, not CBS.Correct, but not from DSC season 2, as you mentioned earlier.
no not cool or pleasing to the eye "kool" like if Rob Liefeld made a space ship. there's a differenceThey're all, always, trying to look cool. From the classic ship to Voyager, Defiant and NX-01.
