Maybe the flatness of the screens just isn't important anymore? This is a starship bridge, not a home theater.
I'd say "tape" was an anachronistic term still used to describe certain tech in the 23rd century. You may not remember the early days of CDs, but often even CDs were referred to as 'records'/'record albums', even though they were not vinyl platters with small grooves any longer.most of the time yes expect at the start of V when the half finished ship is being worked on and you can clearly see the crt ports and half exposed monitors. Most of the time i dont even notice stuff like the monitors and dont really care, but it was just exposed and harliuios. Not as bad as the punch card thing from TAS though or how they keep saying "tape" in that show when somthing is recorded

They could be hardened to be resistant to radiation and such. I mean, they ARE in space, and you can't afford for them to go out.Maybe the flatness of the screens just isn't important anymore? This is a starship bridge, not a home theater.

Cool! I didn't catch that. That actually is canon, it can be seen when we see Pike's file on screen on Disco.
No, Star Wars Day is May 25th.And the day after Star Wars Day.
Right? They are ripe for picking and we are smart and sarcastic! She inspires Youtubers to call it She Trek: Woke New Worlds. Which makes them tons of green gold. Which then makes me wonder why are we are not all on Youtube cashing in on the outrage. If we can come up with this stuff on a fly why are we not rolling around naked on beds of freely departed incel money!
I really like both intros. I think they fit the shows well.I'm really curious at what the Strange New Worlds intro will look like. I hope it isn't abstract like the Discovery and Picard intros.
Please don't bet my money. I'm a government worker.I would bet every Trekbbs members money on it being exactly like TOS and TNG ones with the voice over. The very same, Space, The Final Frontier.... and so on.
The Enterprise should even zoom past the screen weirdly tilted downwards, just like TOS
It's a good ship.
When you find an angle that hides the pylons and the neck, it looks pretty goodI've never been keen on the Discoprise, but that photo's the closest anyone's come to selling me on it.
Now I wanna see the classic movie ship with straight nacelle plyons just to bother people.
