Physical PADDs and tricorders? What happened to the Tricom?
Oh heavens, Starfleet included buttons, too! What is this, the goddamn dark ages?!

I could have sworn those goal posts were here a minute ago.
We were expressly talking the 23rd and 24th centuries, not TV versus movies. Let's leave those goalposts where they're at, mm'kay? Also talking the tv shows here as well.
Oh boy..Physical PADDs and tricorders? What happened to the Tricom?
Illogical. Completely illogical as buttons predate zippers. So, zippers should be obsolete but not buttons. Gotcha.
Glenn Hetrick gave interviews you know...
In that one he literally says "let's plant the flag" and then goes on to talking about how they were "cleaning up lines" and doing it the way "they" would have done it in the past if they had more time.
Even without him directly stating it though, we have the evidence of multiple "modern" productions to look at with Picard, Strange New Worlds, and Discovery. And those makeup "updates" only exist in the show who's makeups he is in charge of.
Like seriously, it's hilarious how different the Strange New World Orions were from the plastic faced Orion's of Discovery.
Physical PADDs and tricorders? What happened to the Tricom?
No, the Discovery Orions used full facial prosthetics. They were pink instead of green? Or was it blue?
Make up must stand out differently to people hunting for it.
Probably an order from the network executives to stop wasting money on CGI when practical effects could do the same for a fraction of the cost.Physical PADDs and tricorders? What happened to the Tricom?
I'm aware of how they did it.No, the Discovery Orions used full facial prosthetics.
And no, this one in particular was just easy to see because of how it effected the actors facial structures.

What about it? Japan has used the kimono for over 1,200 years since the Heian period. Pants were first invented 3,000 years ago. Socks have been around 1,600 years.Uh huh. What about the girl that's wearing a Letterman jacket. 1200 years from now theyll still be making those? Lol. Lazy costuming for sure.
They were pink instead of green? Or was it blue?
Truly advanced civilizations will revert to using togas. That's just science.![]()
