Well. yeah. Haven't you been watching SNW? That tends to be the case with Klingons. In with the new and forget about the old.So, are we forgetting DSC Klingon designs completely?![]()

Yeah, the Klingons are the most often changed species in all Star Trek. I will say it again -- wake me up when they change the humans.Well. yeah. Haven't you been watching SNW? That tends to be the case with Klingons. In with the new and forget about the old.
This isn't the Kelvin timeline.NCC-01209

So is SNW. You'll note which kind of Klingons they feature there.I say that cuz this is clearly a spinoff from DSC.![]()
I knew there was something off about this image! The only thing that would make it cheesier is if they were trying to form the Starfleet delta in the grass
I have just the rant prepared for when this heinous canon violation is committed.wake me up when they change the humans.

Vaseline. They are all looking a little bronzed and shiney, or is it just me?
FTFYActually, I am genuinely surprised they didn't try to insert an arrowhead or three thousand in there somehow.
Looks more like something taken from The Vampire Diaries.Dawson Trek. Stardate 90210

More of an homage to 'Teen Dramas". And apparently we can't have that!!!The poster has to be a parody, surely. Like, it's a piss-take of 1980s teen dramas.
...It's not a parody, is it?
Nope, we can't!More of an homage to 'Teen Dramas". And apparently we can't have that!!!
It's more that it's so peculiarly, unironically direct in evoking a long-gone genre of television. If the poster is intended as a jovial throwback to 1980s teen melodrama, you'd think there'd be some kind of Star Trek twist to showcase the series' selling point, and demonstrate that this will be a fresh sci-fi-tinged take on an old genre - have them all in the typical pose, but lying on a holodeck grid, or have one of them mid-beam out, or whatever.More of an homage to 'Teen Dramas". As I said, leaning into the "complaints" and having fun with it.It's more that it's so peculiarly, unironically direct in evoking a long-gone genre of television. But instead, it's literally a bunch of beautiful young people laying on some grass. The only thing that separates it from the decades-old posters it's evoking is the presence of a Klingon, but he's just posed in the same generic way as everyone else. They must have known the bemused reception it'd get.
Yup.As I said, leaning into the "complaints" and having fun with it.
