Yeah. That would be more interesting. Just her complaining she needs to be captain because of her family and ends up as captain would be boring. But its obvious at this point thats where they are going with it. But the show will never reach far enough to show these cadets getting their careers anyway.

For me, its not, she thinks she's got a clean run to the centre seat, but she's going to end up being humbled, and/or realising that's not where her destiny lies. If anything, she might be the one most likely to end up with the contemporary Fenris Rangers or defect to the Venari Ral.
You should know that in the actual episode that line from the trailer about needing to be captain in actual context just meant captain of the sports team. Just watching trailers can give you a false impression because of how they're edited.
Marketing is such a lying racket. Truly something I find despicable.

I doubt the Fenris Rangers would still exist. They are kind of like The Maquis. Once the political issue they are fighting over ends then they have no purpose to exist anymore. The Romulan situation must have gotten fixed when they had Unification with the Vulcans and now share the same planet.
I don't think we know what she loves to do at this point. We only know what is expected from her. A easy way to go would to say she would want to be a artist of some kind. Which I guess would sort of be Jake's arc a little on DS9. Instead of following his dad into Starfleet he choose to become a writer.

No, but someone with this strong of conviction this early on would have a better story arc with that as opposed to living into daddy’s expectations. I imagine she’ll be in Starfleet. Just realizing she has a different path other than command.
We know from DISCO that the Federation (even diminished), Breen Empire, and Emerald Chain were three of the largest powers.
Bajor being one of thirty worlds imply that "mini-Federations" also exist.
If they bring the Breen back I hope they ignore what was did to them on Discovery. It seems those Breen also joined up with the Discovery Klingons and Remans to go out into the unknown part of space, forever to never return. They also too all of humans civilian clothes with them also, which is why they now have to wear old looking stuff from the present day.
It's all part of a grand story. While they leave we see the return of Trip and Tuvix who neither died. Barclay who is one TNG character I still want to see again. All aboard the Enterprise-D now compete with the other sets besides the bridge restored! With William Shatner back as Kirk and in command of the ship!
