Yup. Kurtzman went away to work on something outside of trek when matalas started on season 3 as showrunner. He ended up making the most popular seasin of trek sonce kurtman trek started. I loved how he slipped in a tos Connie right under Kurtzmans nose. Lol. It leaves us an out to call all kuttzman trek an alternate timeline one day. Not likely but it its something to wish for. Lol

Its all true. Kurtzman wanted him out. He had paramount or himself give matalas a ridiculous offer to continue with his legacy idea knowing matalas would turn it down. So all the fans got was precious little of anything that resembled classic trek. Instead of Legacy we got academy. Academy is all kurtzman. He couldn't even get the Betazoids right.
