It's a wide gouge cut into the landscape, but not apocalyptic-looking from orbit.

You know the best part about that entire sequence? Right after you witness 7 million innocent people being vaporized, crushed, burned to death and blown into little bits and a giant scar blasted into a recognizable location on our planet, you see the fade to black and hear.... "It's been a long road...."

A canal is a kind of road.

Would they?

I do indeed feel they'd look at the Enterprise being the reason why there was an asteroid to impact with Earth, destroy dinos and make it possible for humans to evolve and say - at the very least - "nah we don't wanna open that can of worms." I can absolutely see Justman saying something brutally snarky about the idea.

Seems invoking their names has a bit of "Gene's Vision" to it.
No...?

No...?
A lot of wonky stuff passed through their desks and on to the screen. So I'm not so sure.

Oh, I don’t know, telling people a possible way to travel through time and mess with history, maybe not a good idea?

Thats another thing I hated about this episode. Kirk abd crew cane up with a way to travel time. They were supposedly the first. Not anymore. Now likes crew figured a way to time travel. They were the first. It seens anything to overide what TOS did.

Everyone else did the cool stuff first now.

Thr mirror universe -Burnham
Trelane/Q - Pike
Time Travel-Pike
The Gorn space battle-Pike
The Gorn fight on a planet-Ortegas
Met the Metrons-Ortegas

Im sure im missing more. But geez.

Enterprise did time travel. Multiple times. They had a whole fucking arc about a temporal Cold War. You wanna complain? You’re twenty years too late.
