You said "rewatch" so I assuming this won't contain spoilers for you.

If you haven't seen this thread before, check it out:

Very cool of him to stop by and answer questions.

:techman:

Thanks, yeah I saw that thread. Good stuff and great of him to him to hop on.

Before I read the thread:
I gave it 7/10.

I realized it's a puzzle/maze world, when they get separated. Also, when Spock saw the giant vat of glowing orbs, I guessed it was a prison.

When Gamble's eyes weren't growing back, my first thought was, "Oh, he'll get a LaForge-style eyepiece, cool!"

About the transporter buffer: here's a bit of discontinuity. They've said you can't hold a buffer pattern terribly long without some crazy hacks (to be devised later, again under pressure, by the True Scotsman). So if they confine that one prisoner/Vazda thing, and the pattern degrades, they are effectively killing it.

When Scotty first said, "Nowhere," I figured he meant he spread it out so thin like Redjack.

This one felt like a decent scifi adventure, in a Star Trek way: Scientists digging up stuff and learning some of it is still active, and dangerous! And an Indiana Jones invisible bridge (due to scifi timey-wimeyness!) And somehow I also had a feeling poor Gamble wouldn't make it. They'd done a great job bringing a new guy aboard for a few episodes, and it felt like losing him would happen eventually. Particularly when a junior character gets to talk about his future (I'm sure he's fine in the Kelvin timeline).

And now after having read the thread:
Trekker4747 said Well, they made a big point about this being the guy's first away mission. Also, he did pick up the macguffin from the dead guy's satchel, and that guy died of starvation and not orb Pah-wraith, so... I get your point.

And here I thought Pelia had been written out of the show, in as graceful a way as possible. I thought maybe her contract had ended.

https://www.trekbbs.com/threads/sta...through-the-lens-of-time.319832/post-15216013 Yes, Gamble's gone: Pelia killed him, with a phaser, in Engineering.
