Well then why did Data have to tell him he could recreate the TOS bridge on the Holodeck? That is what he told the computer when he went to the Holodeck. As a pioneer in the technology he should only have been told they "we have a Holodeck here that you helped pioneer. Go nuts." 😂

The only explanation that makes sense to me, and it is a painful one at that, is Scotty did suffer pattern degradation in the buffer. The memory center of his brain was affected; either storage or retrieval capacity was lost to some degree.

Star Wars never really gave a satisfactory answer as to how Darth Maul survived Naboo, nor how Gregor survived being blown up. They even lampshaded it in a future episode with Gregor quipping that he was blown up once, but never explaining it.
Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2 did it first.

Less Overall hours yes. But with today's technology it's easy to research this stuff then ever before. Writers have a virtual encyclopedia at their fingertips. But They are probably intentionally breaking continuity.
:guffaw:- Yeah, like that factors into how they write stories. Star Wars pays as much attention to past continuity as Star Trek, and if they need to retcon or disregard something for a story, they will.

It's not the fact that in the past it was ever 'harder' to research continuity. As always, it only depends on the stiory they're telling.

No way. Not nearly on the level of Trek. Star Wars errors are extremely minor to treks ....

Nope. I knew someone was gonna say that..... 😂.....nope Scotty is all there. 😂

Nope, not even close.

The worse part is that the errors are by Lucas sometimes.

Star Trek has been very deliberate in pushing a vision of the future based on knowledge of the day, not a separate fantasy world like Star Wars. It created separations as it liked, repeating stories multiple times, ignoring continuity in favor of the story being told.

What fans did was take the information and try to work with it and build around it, despite the Inconsistencies.

Aside from expecting Kirk to show up to save him. That seems like an error after watching him die, unless Generations is not canon now

That was an actual error though. Due to the fact that Star Trek generations wasn't created yet. 😂.....so Scotty is still all there... 👍

Same reason you tell a person what books you have in the library. “Here’s something you might.”

We aren't privy to the conversation between Data and Scott about holodecks. (Or even the one with Geordi beyond the one mention) Scotty very well might have said, "Laddie, I tested the first ship board holodeck. La'An almost..." At which point Geordi probably cut him off.

With respect to the Sphere they used to capture the entity; when they were talking about and the scans of the Spere, they had the remains of it on board, so I assume Scotty and Pelia found a way to repair it; because even though it was never stated by her openly, she probably thought they would need it.

That makes sense. Christine would probably beam back the remains of the sphere along with Gamble.
