I do enjoy that. These episode threads always have such "I enjoy reading the sourcebooks more than playing the game" energy.

They technically did 3:They did two in the first year of TOS, both quite good.
Time travel has been a big part of Trek since its beginnings.
Actually:Romulans: Ok, let's kill Khan! He's Indian right? Let's bombard India with out birds of prey!
Praetor: But he looks Mexican.
Romulans: Ok, let's bombard Mexico too.
Praetor: And our research on the so-called "Kelvin Timeline" have him look and sound British.
Romulans: Ok, let's take out the UK.
Praetor: And our records show that Khan's origins stem from a "Project Khan" file located in Los Angeles.
Romulans: All right, we're taking down Los Angeles too. Earth movies and tv shows are terrible anyways compared to Romulan ones so we won't miss Hollywood.
Praetor: AND the Noonien-Singh Institute records show Khan was raised in Toronto.
Romulans: Right so, we're vaporizing India, Mexico, the UK, Los Angeles, and Toronto. Did we miss anything?
Praetor: No, I think you got it. There's no way Khan can be born now.
Yup.We're watching the Trek franchise become the Terminator franchise. The Eugenics Wars are Trek's Judgement Day, which keeps being pushed forward when real life overtakes the dates cited in the filmed works.
As a side note, I thought that was one of the stupidest things, naming the project "Project Khan". I understand it was done to give casual fans some kind of reference point, but it was stupid to me.Khan would still a product of late 20th century genetic engineering. Assuming that in this altered history the Adam Soong "Project Khan" file folder leads to his conception and birth that would still mean the research and technology came from the 1990s between 1992 and 1996. So that hasn't changed at all.
I'm sure there are people who wonder the same about Paris, New Orleans and San Francisco.I know they're in Toronto because that's where they shoot, but is there a canon story reason why anyone would want to be in Toronto on purpose? lol

I'll choose the second one.I think the eugenics wars were a 1960s conception of the next big thing that would tear humanity apart. Seems to not be something people fear as much anymore. I would love some super strength or hell, just not being legally blind without my contacts in.
Not if the Vulcans showed up 'early' to make First Contact with Earth. They may not be close allies in the alt-Kirk 23rd century; but they may have been closer allies in the 21st century in a earlier Earth/Romulan war.A very touching episode. The obvious plot hole bugs me though. If Romulans started a war with Earth in the 21st century and basically destroyed the planet it seems a bit of a stretch that Humans were able to recover and build the UEF and Connies.
VOY's Future's End I & IIWow, so this is the first in-universe confirmation that the timeline has shifted.
