The thread does say SPOILERS doesn't it?

LOVED IT! LOVED IT LOVED IT LOVED IT!

Riverside, Iowa, you worked hard for this!

Chess!

"Literally, no one calls him George."

Khan is FINALLY played by an Indian (it looks like).

Paul I'm sorry I doubted you. But you just weren't very good the last time.

Apology accepted, Captain Needa.

Signed up for a free trial for the Paramount+ channel on Prime to watch it.

Really enjoyed it.

Why is it whenever there's been a 'accidental leak/early release' of an episode of Star Trek, it always seems to happen through Prime? This isn't the first time I've heard of this happening and as a P+ user, it frustrates me.

The alternate fleet is the United Earth Fleet, alternate Kirk was born on the USS Iowa, when she said "intro course", I heard "intercourse" :D Peila either lived in Pythagoras's time or it was a joke, the door is left unlocked way too long, the Noonien-Singh building has very bad security, we see the other augments on a picture, the war was moved from 1992 because the timeline was already altered, trapping the Romulan for 30 years! Sadly no 29th century things aside from 2 people. (spoiler tags removed)

I liked it, but it was very slow. Many scenes with not much happening dragging on and on...

The augments who will start the war

The best scene for me, meeting your tyrant ancestor who ruined your life as well... but he's still just a scared kid. Great idea!

The "canon-breaking" thing the reviews teased is probably that the eugenics war was supposed to happen in 1992, but then someone altered the timeline already and the Romulan had to wait for 30 years, making TOS and WOK a different timeline from SNW, PIC, etc. - so what is 'prime' now? TOS or the rest? :D

Summary for people who wanna know...
After the clip from RR, La'an and alternate Kirk jump to Toronto around our time, try to get along and figure out what kind of attack to prevent, make money by playing chess, steal a Challenger to chase after evidence from an attack on a bridge ("get to the bridge"!), feel attraction to each other, talk about how Earth is nice in her timeline but awful in his, get help from Pelia who lives in Vermont, end up at the Noonian-Singh institute where it turns out the Romulans have been trying to stop the eugenic war from happening, because it needs to happen for the world to be fine, and if it's prevented, the Federation won't exist, great moment where La'an meets Khan as a little kid, Kirk is killed, the Romulan is killed, the timeline is restored, and a temporal department agent appears to take the device back and tell her she can't talk to anyone about it all, leaving her devastated.

Wow, love her a lot more now than I did before.
He acquitted himself well. Didn't try an impersonation or copying of mannerisms. He just embodied what is great about Kirk in his own way....honor, charm, intelligence, duty, sacrifice. Different guy same character.
