I remember years ago during TNG and than DS9 some people would get irritated with time travel episodes. Saying they had done too much etc. But it's a part of Trek that will probably be revisted and revisted until the franchise ceases to tell stories. It's an integral part of the franchise. I just hope this is a good one. Sadly once again it looks like Kirk keeps being introduced after time has been altered...lol
 
The episode title reminds me of Farscape's "Back and Back and Back to the Future".
Seems more Shakespeare, potentially.

I mean I'd watch it now, but I'm worried about messing with my Paramount account because I'd have to sign up for another Paramount Plus account under Amazon (outside of the one I have with Paramount directly) just to watch this now, even under trial, and I can see having 2 accounts under the same email causing all sorts of hellish account (and possibly credit card) issues that I'd rather not face.

No one's willing to summarize under a spoiler tag?
 
Saw it on Amazon Prime. Liked it, even though I generally dislike time travel stories. I'll stay away from spoilers for now, but... the issue with Capt. Kirk being from Iowa or from space is resolved.

as far as the trial for Paramount+ thru Amazon Prime, I have the P+ account, I clicked the free P+ trial for Amazon, watched the show, then unsubscribed in the A-Prime subscription settings. Easy Peazy, no issues with a second account.
 
Apparently the alternative Enterprise we see Kirk on is going to have straight nacelle pylons? Thats the rumor anyway

We don't see the ship from the exterior, but the graphics on the bridge depict it as looking just like Pike's.

I thought the fact
that he was born on the USS Iowa
was a little bit too on the nose.

I mean, it's clear that Nero's attack on the Kelvin somehow managed to spark Winona's pregnancy a bit early. But the Kelvin itself (and the Kirks' presence on it) predates the timeline divergence.

In this scenario, the timeline changes in the 21st century. The Federation and Starfleet never forms.

100% havent't seen it yet, but I don't mind spoilers - they raise anticipation for me.

That said....

How does the ship apparently look exactly like the prime universe model then? Is that explained?
