The clip looks great. Nice to see the kids again and it looks like the second season will be wildly different from the first. Would be nice to know what platform it's going to be on, though....

A part of me wants to say it's unlikely they'd have released this clip unless they were 1000% certain of the deal going through. Though another part of me realizes that in these days of streaming uncertainties and tax write-offs, I know that nothing is certain at all.Supposedly it's 99% certain to find a new home. But then, Star Trek 4 was going to happen over and over until it didn't. These guys will say whatever they think will benefit them the most at that exact moment.
Captain Freeman wouldn't like the Voyager-A.
Probably because her best friend was the captain. She seems to have kept quiet on the Obena class though
The Gorn, as they were in TOS "Arena", are canon. So are the Gorn, as they are in SNW.If it's on screen it's canon, whether it can easily ignored or not.
There is a distinction between the Hagemans (who made the claim of 99%) and the executives who claim(ed) the 4th Abrams movie will be made any day now. The Hagemans are hands-on showrunners, who also write for their own show, who support the union strikes, and who engage with the fans. I don't think we can equate the reliability of one with the reliability of the other.Supposedly it's 99% certain to find a new home. But then, Star Trek 4 was going to happen over and over until it didn't. These guys will say whatever they think will benefit them the most at that exact moment.
The shuttle already appeared in S1 when they probably didn't have a final Voy-A design yetImages! Surprisingly, the Voyager-A shuttles don't have the same warp nacelles as the Lamarr class.

Defiant and Voyager also had shuttles among their inventory with a different nacelle style to that of the starship. To be fair there's no hard-and-fast rule that a shuttle's engines have to match its mothership's. The Enterprise-D and Enterprise-E had shuttles that didn't

I was kind of hoping that the Voyager-A would be a Vesta-class. At least it's not another STO ship.
With seemingly a bit of a time jump in the clip (they have been apart and studying for some time, it seems), I wonder if we will get to see Gwyn laying eyes on Solum for the first time, as well as setting foot on it for the first time. It could also be straight to her already on the surface, I suppose...The clip looks great. Nice to see the kids again and it looks like the second season will be wildly different from the first. I think that speculation arose because reporters and other folks believe that because Paramount pulled Prodigy from P+ they have to be doing what Disney and others did when they decided to write off their shows.Turns out we agreed all along. That a write-off having taken place was speculation.
don't insult prodigy by comparing with that picard garbageThis show is to Voyager what Picard was to TNG
Well, to me, the last season of Picard was very well done, giving us the TNG sendoff that was deserved!don't insult prodigy by comparing with that picard garbage
How does that make it less of a kids show? It's no different than the Doctor Who spinoff Sarah Jane Adventures, which was aimed at young kids but starred and brought back characters from the classic Doctor Who some of which had not been in the modern series and their last appearance in Classic Who was decades before SJA's target audience was even born.On the other hand, IMO, it's been misleading what was done with Prodigy. What was described as a series aimed at kids and maybe tweens has turned into a Voyager sequel, introducing the characters that kids and tweens may not know, have no familiarity with and could lose interest since it's veering away from what should be the main characters.
