I’ve always said it was the unofficial successor to Voyager. That clip pretty much makes it official now.
Starships have a shelf life of 5 minutes nowadays.
They fixed the nacelles compared to the ones from the OG Voyager, which I always thought looked atrophied. But now it's got Sovereign-class nacelles and it... makes it look like a Sovereign

Yeah, it pretty much leaves no doubt this show is a direct sequel.
That was barely visible onscreen, can be ignored easily.
So, happy the emh is in, allthough that does drop the probability of Kim also being in it. Unless the Hagemans underpromised when they claimed s2 would have 2 legacy main characters, but not from the same legacy series. The spot for Voyager now seemingly taken, could leave a character from ds9 to appear (tng less likely, as those are all over Picard now).
Surprised that they seem to go for the timey wormhole right away, or at least the audience gets a reminder that will be one the plots of s2. The clip seems to be from the very beginning of the season, after a bit of a time jump.
Great clip. Nice to see Roberto Picardo return as the Doctor, and the Voyager-A is a nice blend of the Intrepid and Sovereign class, maybe with a bit of Nova class thrown in.
If it's on screen it's canon, whether it can easily ignored or not.

The in universe time from this clip until the Picard ref of Voy B is longer than from the launch of Voyager until this clip.
Supposedly it's 99% certain to find a new home. But then, Star Trek 4 was going to happen over and over until it didn't. These guys will say whatever they think will benefit them the most at that exact moment.
I think it’s quite a bit different from ST4 though in as far as it sounds like it’s already been made (or 90%) rather than contractual level with cast not even sure.
