As I worried, the faith vs. reason theme of the season is already coming across rather heavy handed. It's not awful, but the few lines of dialog addressing it directly so far have been....unsubtle.

So is the alpha but more of the beta is explored. The majority of Federation space, the Romulan and Klingon empires are in the beta Quadrant. The alpha is cardassian, Ferengi, First Federation, Breen etc. And most of those weren’t discovered in the23rd century
