Anybody know if we're going to see Reno again?
Yes.
She's a recurring character, although I'm not sure of the exact amount of episodes that Tig Notaro will be appearing in.

I rewatched this yesterday, before the games began, with my young son.
1. He loved it...was completely transfixed.
2. More importantly, I'm glad the content of the episode allowed me to share it with him without feeling uncomfortable.
how young is your young son?
okay - that's young, in may '72 when trek hit germany i was nearly eight-and-a-half - much more grown up![]()
really? that was what hooked my mom to trek (tos & tos-movies only)TVH had me hooked. It was also my first time going to the theatre. I was five.

I was thinking (hoping) that the fortune cookie message was a hint at Lorca coming back.
Yeah. It was actually kind of fortuitous. I was in kindergarten and, for reasons I don't even remember, I had this weird phase where I was obsessed with aquatic life. I had books and dolphin stuffed animals and the like. It didn't last very long either. I thought Gilly was awesome, but I never had any lingering aspirations to become her. That Trek thing, though, stuck with me for a while.
And incidentally, it's my mom's favorite too. It actually came out on her birthday. My aunt was in town for Thanksgiving and my Gramps treated us all. Though I've always expected Gramps had ulterior motives. There had just been a new series announced and he wanted to make a convert to watch it with each weel.
I was a couple of years older. That's how old I was when I first started watching TREK back in 1966.
It was the first TV show that I got to stay up past my bedtime to watch.
