It's been a long wait but Discovery is back for a second season, one that should excite many fans, with the arrival of the U.S.S. Enterprise. And what about our lead character's adopted brother? Despite all the news, I'm sure we'll be in for a few surprises. Or not. Viewers have been good at predicting what's to come. Let's see if that holds true this time around. We've got 13 weeks to hash it out. Season 2 will run for 14 episodes straight through.

I love that TOS-style Discovery you have there.

Did the exact same thing, but added a season 1 binge watch to boot. Actually flowed better when watched in blocks of 3 - 4 episodes.. Anyway, bring on Season 2! :techman:

That rendering of a TOS-inspired Discovery is magnificent. Those who claimed the retro designs couldn't be modernized and work today have no idea what they're talking about. That is a beauty.

Gets a perfect ten from me if I hear Spock yell "The Women!" in it.

Discovery is a modernized version of a Ralph Mcquarrie design from the 1970s that also briefly made it on screen in STIII. You're right, it got modernized quite well.

The TOS-ified Discovery is cool looking as a picture, but I wouldn't want to see it on the current show.

Thursday at 8:30 PM. The first time we ever saw Captain Pike, it was a Thursday night at 8:30 PM. Love the synergy!

Just got the $10 CBSAA. It will be worth it to watch Star Trek, catch up on Criminal Minds, and try out some of their other originals.

I just hope the episode isn't 45 minutes of Burnham angst over the missing Spock.

It was amazing. I can't believe Burnham is dead but I'm sure Captain Tilly will make an excellent lead character from here on in. Her fast tracked promotion was well deserved after she exposed the Fake Klingons as an entirely different species from the planet Tu'Cox who were then wiped out of existence by Annorax from Year Of Hell". Can't wait to see what happens next week after Saru and Spock got it on!
