In the After Trek show, they finally resolved the mystery of Javid Iqbal (the actor credited to play Voq in the first few episodes, who has no other credits). Shazad Latif said that is the name of his father who passed away a few years ago so he used it as a tribute to him.

My emotions are still on the fritz after watching my team pull of one of the greatest victories in American sports history. Plus I've had several beers. So I could have easily given this show 9000.

But once the high wears off, I'll probably settle on 8.5. Didn't think it was as good as last week, but still a lot of fun. I think the weakest part was Green's soliloquy. It felt kind of flat. And, yeah, I was a little disappointed with the reveals, but whatever. I think "obvious" is a better word than "predictable." But it works within the context of the theme, so whatever.
Now THAT's a STAR TREK!

Seriously, though, yeah, the weakest moment for me was Michael's soliliquoy. I mean, it was well done, but it felt a little lacking for me. I think it's her manner of speaking. For me it came across as a bit forced and stressed in parts, and so felt a tiny bit off. Not enough to take away enjoyment, but still noticeable.

Yeah, that was really sweet.

So it’s not that Iranian serial killer then?

What about the Council of Wells?

Loved it!
Finally, the long-held fan theory is confirmed about Tyler/Voq. A really strong episode for Shazad Latif and Mary Wiseman. It's great to see a confident Tilly with Stamets. She got on my nerves a bit in the beginning, but has been slowly growing on me with the last couple of epsodes. I hope she continues to grow as we near the home stretch for season 1.

There has to be a link between 'Dream' Stamets and Culber that will somehow bring everything back to the Prime universe. His death seemed too easy for an important character. Only redshirts die easy and often .

Onto next week!

It's OK. 6 out of 10 due to some awkward moments, clunky dialogue, and several plot holes.
