I'm starting BSG this week. I have it queued on Netflix Instant Watch, every season. I'm hoping it will be good.

YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED BSG YET?!??!!OMFG WTFWARGARRRRRRBLE!!!11!

(And yes, on an iPod you have to go out of your way to do the "!!!11!" thing.)

that is just wrong on so many ways

Yes. Many, many wonderful ways. :D

that is just wrong on so many ways
Just because it is wrong doesn't mean it won't feel good!

Just saying...

Amen to that!

Nope, I'm all fresh and new, innocent and pure as the driven snow. I'm so naive, you could probably sell me an extended warranty.

I started watching BSG and got to about the middle of the 4th episode. But I was watching it with CYNICS. People who crapped on about the impossibility of stuff that you take for granted in sci-fi. People who crapped on for the length of every episode and mocked it in between episodes. Bad, bad people.

I need to watch it by myself.

well everyone, the moderators are pissed off at me for what i did and consider it trolling.
I'm not mad at you, but you walked into a bit of a situation in the DS9 Forum.

Considering your recent Posts about looking for optimistic Space Opera, you should fortify yourself with hard liquor before watching. nuBSG is one of the most horrendous things I've ever seen.

I see.
I'm still looking for optimistic space opera if anybody has any. :D

^^ What I actually said was that the changes made in nuTrek-- the Vulcan holocaust, the character corruptions and so on-- were consistent with the D&G fad. But let's not drag the Thread off topic.

And I thought I was the only one who hadn't seen BSG yet. :techman:

While I won't deny that nuBSG is dark, dark, dark, (and good, good, good) you should filter RJ's criticism through the knowledge that he also thinks that Trek XI -- of all things -- is dark, gritty and horrendous.

I'll agree that Trek XI isn't dark or gritty, but it is horrendous.

I'm a self-published artist!

I shall have to grab a beret and a glass of overpriced wine and make snarky comments at your showing.

I totally forgot to post this at Christmas. My wife had it done for me by a firend who is an artist.

^ That's a great gift! I notice the faces seem to be a combination of both the original actors and the new guys. Is that deliberate? If so, what a talented artist. I like it a lot.

:p If I hadn't ruined my last "F", I would have done a "STFU" or "GTFO".

I LOVE THESE!!!!

Hmm... Now I feel like I should post a pic. I'll post my "look what I've been doing" pic...

Beautiful. Just amazing, inspiring and BEAUTIFUL!

Oh, and those earrings are beyond awesome. I love geekcrafts! I few years ago I cross-stitched slogans like "Make it so, Number 1" and "Bite me, Darth Vader" on some baby onesies for my friends' newborn. They were great fun and I wish I'd taken photos of them.

Hahahahahahaha!!!!!! I LOVE THAT!!!!!!

I actually have a semi-decent photo of myself for once. Whee! I can play too!

This one is from last summer in Charleston, SC after a somewhat disturbing horse drawn carriage tour through the "old south" city. We were thanking the horses for the ride.

Now that's a story i'd love to hear.
