Haha, this is quite funny. I've never taken a photograph in my life until the other week when the police sent me on a 4-hour Scenes of Crime photography course so I can perform simple immediate evidence capture in case a Scenes Of Crime Officer (you call them CSI, we call them SOCO) isn't available. Sadly in the middle of the night this is generally the case unless it's a VERY serious crime and we can wake one up.Hugo, those are absolutely fantastic! Dare I say, almost Holdy quality.
Seriously, they're very nice. I like them all, but find the first one particularly interesting. Would make a beautiful wallpaper.
May I ask - out of curiosity - what exactly your new camera is?
I enjoyed playing with the camera so much I went out and bought one msyelf. Nothing special, just a Pentax K-x DSLR to play around with (though I did my research and it was one of the best sub £500 camera out there according to most magazines). Seemed cheap at £350. Today was the first time I took a photograph with it, so at least i know now that I can hold it still!
I took over 70 photos in the end, trying out all the settings and the above were the ones i liked the best. Here are a few more. I rather like the 4 flying rats, err pigeons, sat on the plinth looking as if they've just fallen out over an argument

Hugo - forgot to take gloves with him and so by the end his left hand was so cold that it took him five minutes to get back in the house as he couldn't turn the key in the lock!
