Thank you, GA!

Juppiter is the bigger planer, but Venus appears brighter (and therefore visually "larger") because it's closer and its atmosphere is more reflective. The conjunction Moon-Venus-Jupiter will last for another couple of days, so you might want to look at it in the sky between 7 and 9 pm.I saw those and knew one of them must be Venus, but didn't know what the heck the other bright star was! Which of the two was larger by the way? There was a gorgeous view of this Moon phase with Venus and Jupiter out to the west of the sky this evening. I only caught a glimpse of it (too late to catch Venus) before the clouds drifted over. Have a look now and see how things are - you might catch Jupiter and the Moon right now.

Cool!
Did you catch that without the use of a tripod, boco? If so, you must have the world's steadiest hands!I can only dream of night shots that clear taken free hand!

My god, please tell me you have these in high def. *puppy eyes* I took a similar pic once, but i use analog cameras. So no wallpaper...
Beautiful shots Officer!
I used a tripod. But the other moon pic i posted last year was without one. I have quite steady hands![]()
So when are you building the extra wing to house all your action figures?
Love the colours in this, and the funky hairdo. Such a beautiful little baby... well, not so little now(!), astonishing to me how fast they grow. Bless!![]()
My answer to this? TREES. I don't know why they keep plowing under acres of trees whenever they build a new housing development. They keep the sun off the house in the summer, and helps block the wind in the winter, therefore keeping your AC costs down. Ugh. Probably one of several reasons I'll never own a house in a brand new development.Florida, as state, would not exist without it.Houston, as a city, would not exist without it.
Same for Louisiana. Without AC upwards of ninety percent of that state's population would commit mass suicide on the first day of summer. How people in New Orleans or Cajun Country managed to survive in the years and generations prior to the invention of AC I'll never know. That's a hearty stock of human being down there.
I get pissed off when they cut down all the trees like that, too, for that reason and many others. They cut down the entire forest behind my house and made it into a senior community. They have perfect homes and perfectly manicured lawns... and no trees. It makes all the "pretty" lawns look ugly. Trees are some of the most beautiful things a person can have on their property.
Were you smuggling alcohol across state lines? Because I've found that the police don't appreciate that. Not that I know.![]()
