In all of my years, I've never seen both my grandfathers together. I'm not sure my maternal grandfather ever left Ohio when I was a kid.
As far as I know, there is only one photo with both of them in it. It's a shot of them having beer during a Christmas party at my folk's when they had a house in Cincinnati before I was born.
Kind of a melancholy weekend, since it's the first Father's Day since we lost my Dad on September 19 at the age of 62. Here I am with him and my mother on my wedding day:
I know just what you mean. My Dad dies last December 12. Sort of a bittersweet weekend for us. My wife and I started dating on Father's Day 10 years ago. The dates don't synch up this year, but there's definitely a bit up emotional high and low this year.
