Try to act surprised
Or a small moon-shaped space station... oh wait.
The surprising thing there would be that Burnham and Booker have been to Klingon space, or at least Donatu VII, but this has not brought them to contact with the Federation yet...
This could be it. We're arguing a few posts above that the two-part episode coming up translates from the Latin to "New Earth".
That would be Terra nova...
Deep Space Nine
I have no idea, but I think the fan wank ideas like Bajor isn't gonna happen. I think it's gonna end up being a back water outpost that essentially acts as best it can with the ideals and of the Federation and Starfleet, but struggles without the resources they once had.
If I was gonna go with fan wank, I'd say Cardassia/Bajor would now be the center of the Federation and Starfleet. It ain't ever happening though. They'd have to go through so much exposition and have all the DS9 baggage lol.
Terra Nova from Enterprise, then?
But nah the Bajor system is ridiculously expansive, with room to grow into, next to a wormhole. The damn system has what, 11 planets?
Risa or Wrigley's pleasure planet
It's a possibility they went to Terralysium, or a clue of where they went is there. Episode 9 and 10 is a two part episode title Terra Firma.
Didn't Michael say she went to Terralysium?
No she said it took months for a message to get to there and they never heard of her mother.
I think she end up in the hands of the ones that cause the burn, along with her suit. If not, she probably show up in either episode 9,10, 11 and 12. I think she will get a message from Terralysium telling her that her mom had just arrived. Discovery can get there in no time.
What about Vulcan?
Dumb idea I had, but what if it's the place Starfleet officers are subject to the death penalty for even going to? Talos IV?
Exactly. Would also explain why Okrand is part of it, and federazhon is Klingonaase (the original Klingon from novels before Okrand made a new official language) for Federation.
It's the 3rd planet in the Unification system
i think we can be relatively certain it’s not there: Michael already communicated with Terralysium and I guess the message was something like “have you seen my mum? And by the way, could you point me at where to find the federation?”.
From the episode titles I’d guess that 9 and 10 is when they actually find the federation.
