Location of Federation HQ post The Burn

New Earth, it was mentioned months ago on a document for the setting of Star Trek - Starfleet Academy. That's just my guess...
This could be it. We're arguing a few posts above that the two-part episode coming up translates from the Latin to "New Earth".

I have no idea, but I think the fan wank ideas like Bajor isn't gonna happen. I think it's gonna end up being a back water outpost that essentially acts as best it can with the ideals and of the Federation and Starfleet, but struggles without the resources they once had.

If I was gonna go with fan wank, I'd say Cardassia/Bajor would now be the center of the Federation and Starfleet. It ain't ever happening though. They'd have to go through so much exposition and have all the DS9 baggage lol.

Farius Prime.

But nah the Bajor system is ridiculously expansive, with room to grow into, next to a wormhole. The damn system has what, 11 planets?

It's a possibility they went to Terralysium, or a clue of where they went is there. Episode 9 and 10 is a two part episode title Terra Firma.

Didn't Michael say she went to Terralysium?
I think she end up in the hands of the ones that cause the burn, along with her suit. If not, she probably show up in either episode 9,10, 11 and 12. I think she will get a message from Terralysium telling her that her mom had just arrived. Discovery can get there in no time.

Found an interesting theory about this on Reddit:

"It seems that the big reveal will be that the Federation headquarters has moved to Qo’noS. Secondarily, I think this is likely because of the Klingons’ conspicuous absence after almost two seasons of dominating the story line. Primarily, however, this is because of the Pidgin word for Federation: “V’draysh” (DSC S03E01, “That Hope is You: Part I”).

Assuming the Empire joined the Federation at some point between the 25th and 30th centuries, it’s reasonable to expect tlhIngan Hol (the Klingon Language) to have become a second interstellar lingua franca. This could have led to the Pidgin that Book referenced in DSC S03E01.

In which case, it’s entirely reasonable that “Federation” may have been treated as a proper noun and rendered in the orthography of tlhIngan Hol rather than translated to its Klingon equivalent, “DIvI’.” In which case, “Federation” would be rendered as /veDIreySon/. However, tlhIngan Hol tends towards shorter words, so we can reasonably expect the unaccented sounds /e/, /I/, and /on/ to disappear. That leaves us with /vDreyS/, which sounds almost exactly like “V’draysh.” "

I would really like seeing this happen :techman:
Exactly. Would also explain why Okrand is part of it, and federazhon is Klingonaase (the original Klingon from novels before Okrand made a new official language) for Federation.

I would guess it's a planet called "Terra Firma", as that's an upcoming double episode. Literal translation from Latin is "firm earth", but we'd say "new land" or "new earth" now.
It's the 3rd planet in the Unification system ;)

i think we can be relatively certain it’s not there: Michael already communicated with Terralysium and I guess the message was something like “have you seen my mum? And by the way, could you point me at where to find the federation?”.

From the episode titles I’d guess that 9 and 10 is when they actually find the federation.
