Latest Dalek toys question

Is there any real diference between the Progenitor Guardian Dalek that's just come out and the standard Daleks of the lasty five years? Looking at one in the shop today, I couldn't spot anything unusual...

This was brought up in an earlier post, and it's just new packaging.

No, it's not just new packaging - the Progenitor guardian is slightly more finessed in detail, more accurate in scale and less toy-like, more in keeping with the quality of the classic Dalek range. Standing it beside my previous "mutant reveal" Dalek for comparison, the differences are: more pronounced bronze colouring; less compressed neck rings/struts; the skirt doesn't jut out so much at the front; the gun is smaller, no chunky plastic fins, and the eye stalk is shorter and also less chunky. I always thought there was something off about the previous versions - the Progenitor guardian just looks right. So treat yourself

The colouring on this Dalek is closer too (perhaps the same?) as the SDCC Assault Dalek. The others, Mutant Reveal, Genetic Print, Genesis Ark Daleks, were more gold on gold than bronze. And as was mentioned, the eye stalk, gun size, etc are different as well.
