anyone who likes these shows was paid to say so...
Waiting for my check.
Wait, CBS is making a Star Trek: Nessie spinoff??
As an aside, when did it become socially acceptable on TREKBBS to insult TNG?
I see people dismissing it as sort of "old guff" all the time these days?
Just seems odd especially when any critique of discovery, no matter how mild, raises heckles like you wouldn't belive.
Can't we just let people enjoy why they enjoy
Well, maybe Nerdrotic is discredited, but I never presented the assertion as fact. I questioned it as well, so I posted on a discussion forum. It seems to have generated some interesting discussion.
Thirty seconds on Google would have shown you that you were willfully spreading manure.
Yes.To do away with social commentary in fiction entirely, to have purely good vs. evil stories?
Yes.
Safe and predictable. That is what is desired nowadays. Comfort food media,That sounds like the most boring thing ever:
''It's a story with a heterosexual white male protagonist that has no character flaws, and who punches out some generic bad guy with no redeeming qualities and the only female character is a damsel in distress who falls for the hero after being recused. Also, the story is about as deep as a puddle and has nothing interesting say.''
These people want to turn anything creative or artistic into the blandest and most generic tripe ever.
Bounding into Comics is an alt-right/ comics gate site that spreads misinformation, they are not a source to be trusted.
Edit: I used to like talking about nerd stuff because it used to be fun, now nerd news filled with alt-right lunatics who just complain about everything, they complain about Star Trek, Star Wars, Doctor Who, Captain Marvel or even something aimed at kids like She-Ra, talking about how ''SJW ruined my childhood.''
But all these people do, is complain, when they ever offered constructive criticism? If they don't like the current direction these series are going in, what creative vision are they putting forward instead? It seems like they are putting nothing forward, just wanting to repeat the past, over and over again. Nerd nostalgia is not a creative vision.
When these people complain about ''SJWs are ruining my favorite franchise with politics'', what do they want? To do away with social commentary in fiction entirely, to have purely good vs. evil stories? Because franchises like Star Trek or X-Men have social commentary as their bread and butter.
That sounds just like a game I've been developing.Nessie will power Disco's Spore Drive in Season 3, but you didn't hear that from me.
That sounds just like a game I've been developing.
But what's their endgame? Pissing people off? Trying to make change? Well, if it's the first point, let's consider their audience sizes:
