Holy fuck, I need a neck brace after the whiplash of those final minutes.
Something about Linda in Camp Utopia felt, well,
off and not just because it felt a little too good to be true. But still, it was crushing to see it was all in poor Dot's head at the truck stop.
And
THEN the freak accident with the truck and suddenly there's Roy at her hospital bedside as if this was all ordained. Fuck me. Can Dot please catch a fucking break already?!
Regardless of the reality of the situation, at least now we know the full circumstances of Dot's past, as well as Gator's parentage. I do wonder if Linda is still out there somewhere, but I suspect she won't miraculously appear by the end. She's merely a fantasy at this point.
Speaking of Gator, this has become a weekly check-in but: How dumb is he? Jeez Louise!
But coming back to Camp Utopia, the Lindas reminded me of Holly Hunter's group in
Top of the Lake. The similarities are superficial at best but I was almost immediately reminded of them.
