Did anyone spot the TARDIS in this week's 'Strange New Worlds'?

guess that make its canon - the doctor exists in the Star Trek universe.
(though it could be an unbound Doctor :)

Damn! I completely missed that.

Now I have to go back and rewatch the episode. :D

I'm sure some eagle eyed Whovian can tell us which Doctor's TARDIS. ;)
I bet it can be extrapolate based on the size and position of the St. John Ambulance badge.

IIRC, someone in the SNW forum claims it's the Smith/Capaldi TARDIS.
Looks right. It's got the white "Officers and Cars Respond to Calls" plaque, which narrows it down to Hartnell, Hurt/Eccleston/Tennent, or Smith/Capaldi, and it looks bright enough that it's probably backlit, which means it could only be the latter (and that also fits with the squatter shape and more saturated blue).

When Who returns, we need to get the Doctor’s side of this story. Seems like a classic Who setup. The Doctor and a companion wandering around a big spaceship with a mystery to solve.

I posted this on Bluesky yesterday, and I may have shared this thought before.

I would love a series of Doctor Who with a Starfleet officer as the companion. This is a character who's already used to the universe being weird and dangerous, and the reaction to say, a Cyberman, would be more likely pulling a phaser than running away. It's sorta like Izzy Sinclair in the 90s comics; Izzy was a sci-fi fan, so she was already familiar with all of the Doctor Who tropes through sci-fi, and she could hit the ground running with little explanation in a story. I feel like La'an of Strange New Worlds would work well for this, not because Christina Chong has already been on Doctor Who but because I think her attitude would fit the TARDIS... and deflate the Doctor a bit.

I would also like to see a Star Trek-style Doctor Who spin-off with a multi-racial crew in a starship, boldly going. Maybe during the 51st-century, the ship has a Draconian captain, that sort of thing.

Wow
