I think, "oh, Shakespeare. "You're the sort of person who hears Henry V and thinks Star Trek VI, aren't you?![]()
Then I go "it's better in the original Klingon. "

There's the scene in TOS S1 Where No Man Has Gone Before where Kirk orders, "Address Intercraft" and immediately Gary Mitchel swipes across a lighted panel on his console after which replying, "Intercraft open."No, that's incorrect. You're referring to a scene in "The Cage" wherein Spock makes a gesture to change the slide displayed on a viewer. There was a crewman obeying that "advance slide" gesture who was simply off-camera. It was not a depiction of a computer scanning a gesture and doing the same.
Yes he did. And if he'd been any cooler about it he would have had to have had a martini in the other hand. There's the scene in TOS S1 Where No Man Has Gone Before where Kirk orders, "Address Intercraft" and immediately Gary Mitchel swipes across a lighted panel on his console after which replying, "Intercraft open."
That's a good policy as posting that you're putting a particular person on your ignore list is considered trolling by the board rules. And no, it's not my practice to publicly announce who I ignore but @Hythlodeus publicly insulting my reading comprehension in a personal attack comment gave me no choice
Yeah, that... didn't work out so well, did it?Orci was after all hoping "My name is Khan" would remembered alongside "Luke, I am your father" as one of the all-time greatest plot twists in cinema history.
I'm fine with that, personally.I think TAS is a forgotten step-child of Trek, save only for LD jokes.
I'm not. Some great stories in there.I'm fine with that, personally
I put One of Our Planets is Missing as one of my favorite Star Trek episodes ever. There are really not.
Maybe posters should be kinder in their comments when responding to a post that obviously missed context instead of immediately resorting to personal attacks about "reading comprehension" etc. because that put me in a position where I was forced to reveal who I ignored. That's a good policy as posting that you're putting a particular person on your ignore list is considered trolling by the board rules.
Just put them on your ignore list and move on. You can always click on "Show Ignored Content" if you're having trouble following a thread.

Context is for kings.Ruin the internet that would mate - 73.861% of internet content is people jumping on each other over misread comments etc
I personally put the whole story down as a "tall tale" which Robert April tells at the retirement colony, to ever increasing levels of exaggeration. Nothing about it makes sense otherwise.I don't care if it gave us April, The Counter Clock Incident is terrible.
Hey it made Warp Factor 36 Canon too.. oh, wait...I personally put the whole story down as a "tall tale" which Robert April tells at the retirement colony, to ever increasing levels of exaggeration. Nothing about it makes sense otherwise.

I see what you did there. Also, the other residents keep pointing out to him that he's not really Robert April. He insists that he is and that his best friend is Elvis Presley.
"Robert April is black. You're clearly white."Also, the other residents keep pointing out to him that he's not really Robert April. He insists that he is and that his best friend is Elvis Presley.
