Spoilers!
Britney did indeed name Matt as the replacement nominee, as expected. She has firmly decided to place her eggs in the Hayden, Enzo, and Lane basket. She truly believes she is going to the final four with those guys, and each one of them came and campaigned hard for Matt to go this week. I don't know if it's the best choice for Britney, probably not, but she didn't really think for herself on this one, she let Enzo, Hayden, and Lane do all the convincing. They were hardcore about it too, going so far as to make sure that Ragan or Matt were never in a room with Britney without at least one of them there, so that they couldn't campaign for someone else to go up. Britney doesn't trust Matt at all and says she trusts the guys completely.
Matt thinks that it is Britney who has something against him and doesn't seem to realize that the rest of the Brigade has completely given up on him. Matt honestly believes he has a chance to stay and that the votes haven't been decided. He doesn't realize that not only are the votes decided, but that it was his very alliance that campaigned to put him up.
Ragan is the only person in the house I really like at this point, mostly because he is by far the most intelligent. He said that today was "eye-opening" for him and he decided to have a talk with Matt, during which he laid out all of the alliances in the house, correctly. He even told Matt, "I think you were involved in an alliance with Hayden, Enzo, and Lane, whether you will admit it to me or not, and I think that you don't even realize it, but you aren't part of that alliance anymore. The three of them have gone off without you." He was basically dead on, telling Matt that his own alliance betrayed him, that the votes have already been decided, and that there's a "snowball's chance in hell" of Matt staying this week. It's hard to know for sure but Matt doesn't seem to believe him. Matt is still completely denying any four guys alliance to Ragan and says that he believes the guys when they tell him they haven't decided yet. It's kind of sad really to see the other Brigade members flat out lying to Matt's face so effortlessly, as Matt continues to profess his loyalty to the Brigade. And Ragan even tells Matt what's going on but he doesn't believe him. Matt asked Ragan, so if I was in a supposed alliance with them and they are definitely voting me out now, why wouldn't they just be honest with me about it? Why would they continue to tell me I have a chance? Ragan correctly called that it's because they are trying to ensure your jury vote if they are in the final two.
I always most appreciate the player with the most astute observations, the one that can see better than the others what is going on around them. Ragan makes great observations and thinks very rationally about possibilities. He understands what's going on in this house and I like him for that! He also recognizes that he will probably be the one out in this week's double eviction.
