Big Brother USA - 12. Season Commentary Thread

Roger Wilco, why the Enzo hate? I will admit I'm growing tired of the stereotype, but why is he a scumbag?

I can't exactly point my finger on why I dislike him so much, but I really don't like how backstabby he's been for weeks while not having done shit the entire time in the house, he's been less competitive than Kathy. And him calling Matt sneaky all the time? He's the sneakiest of them all, palling around with Brendon, constantly bashing everyone else in the House except Hayden/Lane while playing nice to their faces etc. In my opinion he's slimy, dishonest, lazy and stupid (remember his horrible speech to Matt last week for example).

I can't argue with that logic. He thinks he's playing this great game when all that's really saved him is that he's nice to everyone's face. I think that's the reason Lane and Hayden are still around too.

Everyone has their own ideas on what kind of winner the game should have: a winner who won all the challenges, a winner who slid by under the radar, a winner who played a good social game. In the end, the two or three people sitting at the end will have outlasted everyone else and they will have deserved to be there, even if it is the Brigade.

There are two reasons I hate Matt:

1) The wife thing. That's low gameplay. Sure you can be deceitful and stuff, but that's just wrong.
2) He claim's to be this diabolical supergenius in the Big Brother game, but he's been on the block three times and no one trusts him, not even in an "he's the worst person ever so I'll take him to the end" like Will was.

Ragan's bitching on After Dark got to me last night. He was rambling on how about he'd vote for Brendon over any of the three Brigade members for reasons that seem to be only because they aren't saving his man crush Matt. Ragan goes up and down in my books from smart to incredibly stupid and this just continues the trend. He had a chance to vote out Hayden when he was up against Kristen, he could've voted against Lane when he was just up against Matt/Kathy and he can vote against Enzo this week. Don't bitch that you got played by an alliance just because you didn't see it.

Roger Wilco, why the Enzo hate? I will admit I'm growing tired of the stereotype, but why is he a scumbag?

I don't see what Ragan was saying as bitching, I see it more as just telling the truth. He wasn't even emotional about it really. I think he said he wouldn't want to vote for a Brigade member because of the exact reasons that were just listed for disliking Enzo. The three of them are pretty callous liars while at the same time doing absolutely none of the work and accusing everyone else of being a backstabber. It's obviously a strategy that is working for them, but I can see why Ragan wouldn't see them as deserving because of it.

I thought it was awesome. The guy is such a full-of-himself douchebag it's fun to watch.

the girl in the bikini? The fat rolls on your side aren't working for me, hon.

^ Yes, I'm sure she cares what a nobody in the midwest cares.

As for Jesse, at least Big Brother realizes any prize involving him is a booby prize.

Tonight's thoughts!

- Is it creepy I can read almost all of Julie’s scripts from week to week?
- For a super-genius, Matt really played it stupid by throwing Ragan under the bus. Wouldn’t revealing the Brigade have worked out better for him? Britney even said Hayden was going up; all Matt had to do was keep his mouth shut.
- Did we really need to see Jesse one more time before the opening credits?
- Ragan putting feelings aside? Will pigs fly also? I’d give him credit for figuring out the Brigade, even if it is a little too late for it to really matter.
- Are Britney’s breasts getting bigger every week?
- Matt doesn’t give up the Brigade in any speech this week? Does he really think they were going to save him?
- Seriously Julie, BFF’s? Are you, a journalist for years, as lazy as a fifteen-year-old girl on Facebook?
- The POV comp can finally put all off their constant “On Day whatever, whatever happened” to rest.
- Brendon gets out on Rachel question? Really?
- Ragan should’ve won a bunch of competitions by now. If Matt wasn’t evicted, one wonders if Ragan would’ve thrown it to him again.
- If I were Enzo, I would’ve thrown Brendon a vote for jury time.
- I’ll give CBS credit for hustling through the hour. It was much more enjoyable than going to visit houseguest’s family like other Thursday nights. But did Julie really need to remind us what had happened after every commercial break?
- Are we going to see the jury house this year?
- With both punching bags Matt and Brendon gone, this is bound to get interesting.
- I’ll give Brendon credit. Once Rachel got evicted, he became a competitor and started to play a social game. I liked him more than Matt and Ragan since then as well.

About time Matt leaves!

And Brendon gone too?! A shame, as much as he took during the past week's POV comp. he deserved to say. Many won some respect in that episode.

And, ugh, Regan is still in this house?!?!? I want him gone! His flamboyancy and deep-vees have broken my last nerve.

I always liked the "double eviction" night episodes but I wish they'd drop the "bomb" on them after the first person leaves the house instead of letting them know ahead of time.

Anyway, it was time for Matt to go, although I will miss him claiming events in the house that occur were all part of his "master plan" even though they're events he couldn't have possibly planned.

- Are we going to see the jury house this year?

With Brendon going in I'm sure we'll see him and Rachel having their fuck-buddy time. Maybe I'm just bitter in matters of love but is he really that lost and desperate in his life that he's so missing her? Like with the muttering in his bed on last night's episode? Sheesh, dude. Anyway, we'll see them re-united though I would've much rather have seen Regan and Rachel meeting back up in the Jury House. :)

I also thought it was funny how Julie got all "Whoa! Watch the language, there!" on the word "succubus."

Does she get upset when people use the names of other mythological creatures on her show?

The Rachel bashing on After Dark was hilarious. I can totally see Rachel acting this way and if she comes back on a future All-Stars or next season, I will be bitching about her.

So Lane has put up Ragan and Enzo.

Enzo can't believe it, but Lane is playing a smart end move game. He keeps his friendship mockumance with Britney by not putting her up and focusing on Ragan. Unless there's a massive POV screw up, Ragan goes home this week and then Hayden/Enzo have to win HOH and put up Britney and Lane. Britney goes home.

I think it's risky. Clearly Ragan dominates all quiz-type challenges and he's probably the best at endurance challenges also. Maybe Enzo is his target anyway though; there's been a lot of of talk like "nobody wins against Enzo with the jury"...

Lane and Hayden are really starting to talk Final 2, which I think would be a coin toss as to who wins.

If any of Enzo, Britney, or Ragan make it to the final 2, they will win.

I really think Lane should win if he makes it to the final.

Hilarious that Lane opens Pandora's box to win
"up to $10,000" and he only ends up with less than $100.

I know this is something Big Brother has done for, well, forever but I really hate that the first part of this episode was pretty much dedicated to recapping what happened just a few damn days ago in live TV. Did we really need to see the planning and bargaining that went on during the two-minute commercial break between Julie saying "Hayden you win HOH" and "Who are you going to nominate?"

Be interesting to see what the other two penalties will be for Lane's opening Pandora's Box.

Sunday night episode thoughts:

- Ragan is still getting on my nerves. He’s being all pushy with Britney and sulking and calling Enzo a cheater, like seriously?
- As I said, is there nothing interesting to fill the hour shows three times a week, if they fill the first quarter of the show with recaps?
- Enzo is talking a lot of diary room smack for a guy that’s coasted through the game.
- It seems like Enzo has been in that penguin suit for weeks.
- Finally an HOH that requires some skill and an inventive one at that.
- I know Enzo eventually wins the POV, but how is he so brutal at every competition.
- A lot of Enzo in my post tonight, but God, he really needs to learn the art of silence. He is so full of himself lately. He thinks he controls the game, when really all he does is talk talk talk.
- Lane’s family will kill you if you cross them.
- Hayden is sitting pretty. Britney will vote for him, Lane doesn’t need it, and Enzo will take him to the Final Two.
- The penguin going into space? Has Enzo finally lost it?
- Do they really need HOH to read out the Pandora’s box stuff every week?
- Britney knows she’s got Lane wrapped around her finger.
- At this point, I’d like Britney to win the next HOH. Enzo and Hayden go up, Lane sends Enzo home.
- “It’s up to you bro…” But I’ll belittle you and tell you what you should do until your ears bleed.
- Got to love the edit. Enzo calling Lane a pussy, followed by Lane saying “Well, I hope Enzo isn’t mad.”

Ragan's whining yesterday during the Veto competition was pitiful. Enzo wanted the veto and he fought for it. If Ragan was so great, he would've manned up and accepted that Enzo had won.

Hopefully he goes home tonight.

I laughed pretty good when Enzo bowled over Regan for the answer. Goodbye Reagn, glad I don't have to hear you bitch about Rachel anymore. (God, if I had to hear him rant-off on some "they cloned Rachel!" rant in the DR...!)

I just hope in the next week we get a DR video of Rachel and Regan meeting in the house.

Won't be able to see "Big Brother" tonight, being pre-empted in my area due to a Chiefs pre-season game.

I'm not a huge fan of Enzo but he deserved that veto fair and square. Ragan being a sore loser was annoying. On the same token, Enzo was kind of a dick afterward. So, he was kind of bad sport himself...especially considering that was like the first thing he'd ever won in the house. Just sayin'.

Lane putting up Hayden instead of Brittney was one of the best moves he's made. He proved he's no dummy. If he'd put her up, Lane and Enzo would have ABSOLUTELY voted her out. Of course, I don't necessarily think Lane can win next to her at the end. If it ends up being the two of them at the end, she'll most likely play the "he doesn't need the money" card..and she'd be right.

Ours is too here in the Dallas area, but they said it was being shown on their sister station. You should check to see if y'all have a sister station with your CBS.

It's been a long time sense we've sister stations available here for the major networks. Not on cable anyway. The show is being pre-empted and reaired at 11:30 after Dave.

Tonight's comments:

- I still think Ragan is whining about the Veto. If you really want the Veto Ragan, grab onto Enzo’s legs and drag him back down the ramp. It’s a game, grow up and play it.
- It’s even more obvious now that Lane thinks he’s going to be able to score with Britney. It’s not game because he could take Enzo and Hayden in a competition, so he must love Britney.
- Julie looks Goth tonight.
- Britney has to wear more bikinis.
- “The showmance is back!” – where did I put my gun?
- I’ll give CBS credit, the punishments for Lane opening Pandora’s Box harked back to Season 1 and all the slightly goofy comps they had. That’s what they need more of in future seasons.
- Seriously, I guess they need their requisite Rachel time. When people are voted out, we don’t want to see them again.
- I’m surprised Matt told them about his wife. Kathy may have been useless as hell in the game, but good on her for reaming him out. Can BB give her her deputy’s gun back and then the jury house would be awesome!
- But hell, Rachel lords over him like she’s perfect. Seriously CBS, she’s out of the game, you don’t need to edit her like your pet anymore.
- I’m actually surprised Ragan went 2-0; I thought Britney would give him a vote.
- Oh Ragan, are you in for a shock when Matt tells you about his wife.
- The music during the HOH had me laughing out loud.
