I dunno... Kermit would never have lasted as the Muppets' leader if he couldn't appreciate weirdness. Just because he has the discipline to bring it under control doesn't mean he doesn't want it as part of his life. And given that he devoted so much of his career to creating programs built around showcasing celebrity guests, I'd say there's plenty of geeky fanboy in his makeup. Just look at how wildly enthusiastic he is every time he mentions their very special guest star. Yayyyyyyyy!!!

Plus didn't he used to hang out with a giant bird that had a friend that may or may not have been imaginary?

Well, behind on the show. I save watching episodes of it until my buddy is able to watch 'em with me and, well, we have a backlog with everything else we watch and stuff. *Sigh*

But I've got a handful of episodes left to finish off the season but from where I am now, looks like the season remained pretty strong.

Miss Piggy is Cal.

Think about it. Outwardly charming and friendly and warm, but the moment you say or do something to upset them, wham, they freak out and get violent. But ultimately, all they really want is to be loved.
