‘Star Trek: Strange New Worlds’ Renewed for Fifth and Final Season

Eugenics Wars and World War III aren't always considered to be the same conflict.
Spock calls the Eugenics War the last World War taking place in the mid-90s.

SPOCK: No such vessel listed. Records of that period are fragmentary, however. The mid=1990s was the era of your last so-called World War.
MCCOY: The Eugenics Wars.

So unless Spock was lying, TNG later retconned in another World War after it in the mid 2000s, meaning it's no longer the last world war.

Which then SNW made part of the same series of conflicts as the Eugenics Wars solving the issue.

Spock also says the augments were created via selective breeding (Kirk later says 'controlled genetics'), not modifying their genes, so that's another retcon made in later series.

The dialog is clear to me. The Next Generation changed it, and made it a nuclear exchange, plus a post atomic horror.

Seems quite the retcon. James R. Kirk would never make that mistake ;)

A series finale that makes the entire show a thing that didn't really happen..... Talk about a Valentine for all the fans.

It would be. It would make a whole lot of fans incredibly happy. All of the issues with the show would then be resolved and there would be no reason to hate on it.

Because of what you just said. It’s copying other people’s peoperty

AI generation is plagiarism
PUBLIC web pages.

Not anything you have to pay to use.

It doesn't matter if I write the fanfic or an AI or a monkey or my dog. It's all fair use.

Next Generation altered the timeline. Pray it doesn't alter further...
I was under the impression that TNG just split eugenics War and world War 3 into two separate conflicts. One in the 90s, one in the mid 21st. Possibly grouped together colloquially, but not moving the eugenics war or Khan's origin.

Yeah, no. The tiny group of people it actually would please are parts of the fandom who should be thoroughly ignored.

And yet..... we've had multiple episodes travel back to the 90s and early 2000s that show zero signs of any kind of Global conflict. Future's End, Past Tense, 11:59, Carpenter Street. Not a single mention or sign of either the Eugenics Wars, or the level of technology required for Khan to exile himself.

It was pretty clearly stated that the Eugenics War was the last World War and every series since TNG has made that a mid 21st century conflict. So you can either ignore the 90s dates from Space Seed and WoK, or you can ignore the rest of the franchise from 1987 and onward.
