    Immortal for that line alone!

I liked it a lot, and Jenna is just gorgeous as well... the bit with the bad boss-lady reverting to her childhood self after the factory restore was pretty chilling.

Clara's gaining of the computer knowledge seems a clear foreshadowing of her genius status and supernal hacking abilities in "Asylum", making one think that this episode takes place before that one in her chronology... but then she would have recognized the Doctor. I'll wait and see how they tie that together. One thing I've learned is to not to obsess about the plot details fitting together this early in the series... it'll get context eventually.

Perhaps we have a Michael Moorcock kind of scenario here... Clara is the "Eternal Companion"!! There are different versions of her in different time periods but they share experiences and knowledge. :p

I think there's some kind of echo in time that created the other versions of her, but I agree it's something that happens later (probably during her time with the Doctor).

I thought I spotted the Doctor's ex-flatmate Craig as one of the uploads.

All this "clever boy" rubbish. Everyone talks the same in Moffat's universe. All quick and smug and not taking anything seriously. Pond and Song could have said the exactly the same and it wouldn't be out of place. The man's not got a sense of character voice, or else it's so dulled by his attempts to sound hip and neo-Buffy.

    Song raised Pond.

Taught her how to be adult.

(By doing the exact opposite of her example, but it's still exactly the same environment.)

I caught the Bells are ringing line, but the episode really got away from the title.

The episode was decidedly average. Jenna-Louise on the other hand...

Is RTD's back? because this episode sure felt like one of his. It even had a cautionary warning about the dangers of our modern society. This time it was wifi and last time it was ATMOS(pollution)

Nice jab a twitter Moffat. I guess he saved his soul by shutting down his twitter account

it's weird. the plot made no sense (wifi, magic motorbike came from where? etc) and too much with the 'dr who?' question, but it zipped along without getting boring and clara is much more interesting than idiot scottish girl.

I liked how Clara figured out where they were, btw. That was a nice commentary on social media.

The title of this episode doesn't make any sense to me at all. I mean, yes, there were some monks and the bell of St. John did ring, but I really don't understand what that had to do with the story.

Eh, still better than City of Death. In that there was a city and ... that's about it.

I could have sworn there were ringing bells audible in the background during one of the café scenes, like church bells in the distance. But maybe I'm misremembering. If so, though, I suspect there's going to be some greater significance to bells throughout the season.

It wasn't the greatest episode by any means but I enjoyed it. Was good to have the Doctor back in action and I like that the Great Intelligence will be recurring.

Picture quality question for British viewers...

How does the show look airing in England now? I ask because here in the US, it looks very, very...cheap. I mean, Syfy Channel Saturday night original movie cheap. Previous seasons look handsome, with Beautiful, crisp, rich colorful images. The digital cameras they've switched(?) to are producing a washed out color look, very much like those Syfy Z grade flicks shot in Bulgaria. Or is it just the transmission equipment BBC America is using? Thanks.

He only mentioned the garage twice in the episode, one of which was him trying to remember where it was. I can see how people missed it.
