That line appears before she picks up the knowledge though.

Knowledge gained, I was thinking of her hacking skills, not the 'run' line. Also, in the front page of her places to see book, two ages were skipped, 16 and 23, whether that is significant we will see. Keeping track of her names is intriguing for me. Oswin doesn't seem to be her name here, but a password name. In Asylum, I don't remember her using Clara, just Oswin Oswald, and the Victorian era had all three names. All three have been some kind of caretakers of others.

Gotcha, I was running all the thoughts together, it would explain those skills.

The latter. If you've seen The Eleventh Hour, you'll know how this plays out: she is a puzzle box, he knows something is up but for some reason doesn't explain that to her, he decides to bring her along to unravel the mystery.

I was afraid of that.

You know, I realize that in nuWho the sonic-screwdriver has become something of an all-purpose tool, but seriously, is there anything it doesn't do?

Outstanding episode, never expected that character to show up at the end. I bet Clara coming back over and over is tied in with this character that was behind the scenes running the organization.

The sonic's real purpose is to tighten the pacing of the plot. You know when they have to invent something like the deadlock seal to stop it that the sonic screwdriver will do whatever is needed.

You gotta love a boss who lets their underlings take their vacation time before killing them, at least.

Well, that was a bit of a snoozer, all right. As mentioned above, some of the bits with the Doctor and Clara were cute and fun, but over all, the show was a bit lacking. I really hope that the remainder of the series improves a bit.

I should mention that I DO like the redesigned interior of the TARDIS, though. Great visual stuff.

:techman:

I thought it was a very clever episode. Nothing outstanding, but the moments worked for the most part. There was some good tension and some good surprises. I didn't expect the reveal at the end (I suspect he'll be a reoccurring villain).

What's with the backwards poll choices?

At least Clara is on board at last, though I don't really need another companion mystery to sort out. Still, Jenna is fun to watch with Matt, and so far I have enjoyed her on the show more than Karen/Amy.
