Not a bad episode, but definitely a step down from last week. The abrupt resolution of the Lost Trio storyline definitely robs this episode of some drama. I like the way the FTL shutdown was done, though--very sudden, caught everyone off-guard, lots of injuries.
If the writers really did respond to pressure and that's why Rush didn't have sex with Little Miss Brilliant, I gotta say that's a load of shit, for the same reasons as everyone else. If Mooney didn't have any issues with Wray using her body for lesbian sex, the Wray shouldn't be able to gripe about LMB using
her body for hetero sex. Oy. Only on a sci-fi show could we have these kinds of discussions.
It was interesting to see someone Rush actually cares about, though, and have him tone down the Machiavellian nonsense for a change.
I hope we find out what happened to Franklin before too long. My money is on ascension, but it could just as well be something else.
I see my concerns about the intergalactic voyage taking a long time were ill-founded. A few weeks, really? That's it? They should survive just fine. I like that we'll get to see more than one galaxy on this show, though. Makes it live up to its title, right? It would suck if it was called "Stargate: Some Nameless Galaxy on the Other Side of the Universe."
