People who don't value sex don't value themselves-- disagree all you want.
So do you believe the horny populous is doing the consuming, or being the one consumed?

The fact that you are so intent on defending this point just tells me that your standards are very, very low.
I also think there is a difference between a girl who did low budget amatuer porn to pay for school and a woman who is/was a porn star.
This is hilarious the responses I'm getting here. Most people are hardly innocents, they would just rather not be with complete and total sluts. That goes for men and women. Remember the OP is asking whether you are comfortable dating a person who has sex for a living. The fact that you are so intent on defending this point just tells me that your standards are very, very low. People who don't value sex don't value themselves-- disagree all you want.
Again, we can have this conversation without name calling. You're bigoted because you made this a moral issue.
I do disagree, primarily because your premise is flawed. Why would you assume that somebody who has a lot of six doesn't value it? That's like saying I don't value books because I own many thousands of them.People who don't value sex don't value themselves-- disagree all you want.
Actually, that's more or less what I did say.I'd just be worried that after all those extermely well hung male porn stars she wouldn't feel me and then how would I live up to their standards![]()
Finally someone who has the guts to say it. A very valid point.

Or, and this will blow your mind, some people just set different standards than you do. I'm more worried about someone's intelligence and kindness than who they had sex with or what they may have done for a living. I have no moral or ethical problem with people who star in pornography. On the other hand, I do have a problem with people in the upper business class who screw people over. I think THEY are immoral in many cases and I wouldn't date someone like that.
Different standards for different people. You need to realize that you can't just make a blanket generalization and expect people to go along with it.
My argument is actually less moral-conservative and more feminist in nature-- it's an attack on the life-sucking industry, not necessarily the people who get caught in it.

In theory, yes. But to most men it wouldn't matter what the reasoning was. If you were going to feel some form of jealousy, paranoia or any of that wonderfully panicy stuff, it wouldn't matter if she were forced at gunpoint. They'd still know.
Historically, Feminists have advocated sexual freedom, which includes both erotica and prostitution. My argument is actually less moral-conservative and more feminist in nature-- it's an attack on the life-sucking industry, not necessarily the people who get caught in it.
Don't think your argument is feminist. Don't even go there.

^Not all feminists. All of which only tangentially reflects on "feminists" views of pornography. You are certainly old enough to remember the strange bedfellows alliance of Values Conservatives and Radical Feminists during the late '70's, specifically against pretty much all forms of adult entertainment. People like MacKinnon and Dworkin spring to mind, but there was a whole movement (Woman Against Porn, or something like that).Historically, Feminists have advocated sexual freedom, which includes both erotica and prostitution. My argument is actually less moral-conservative and more feminist in nature-- it's an attack on the life-sucking industry, not necessarily the people who get caught in it.

What would you do if you found out that the person you were currently dating had done porn?
I personally would find it upsetting...I don't know if it would be a dealbreaker, it is close though.

I worked with a guy whose wife was cheating on him and he divorced her and she started doing online SM porn. I didnt beleive it until he showed me one of her clips and I was like, "DUDE! Thats your wife doing another dude while she is all tied up! I used to talk to her at the unit's Christmas parties!"
How is a soon to be porno chick suppose to look? Haven't you ever heard the phrase "it's always the quiet ones".Actually she was a real nice lady and didnt stand out as a soon to be porno chick. Even in the pornos she looks like a housewife.
