New SGU Trailer *MAJOR SPOILERS*

My main question is who is it attacking the base and why ? It surely can't be the series' regular villains (if there are going to be any) as my understanding was that this ship isn't in our galaxy or anywhere close (otherwise Odyssey could go pick them up).
Well if you look closely you can see tel'taks, al'kesh, and death gliders so the chances are they are either the Lucian Alliance or Jaffa. Most likely the former.

Finally a decent SGU trailer.

I'll reserve judgment. Of course the first few episodes will have lots of action and great visual effects. It shouldn't be hard to make a good looking exciting trailer.

But, wow...RDA is really looking different now.

Since he left Stargate after season 9 he's just been getting wider and wider.

I remember him looking pretty good in his appearance in season 10/season 3 of SG-1/Atlantis. When I saw him in Continuum (shot not too much after season 10), he looked like he gained some noticeable weight. Something about it just doesn't look natural.

He's old!

This is why he left the show, he was old!

Luckily they can explain the fatter O'neil by saying he has a desk job. :)

However the older you get the fatter you get (in my family), until you get sick and die. He is most liekly on some meds that might make him puffy, no big deal.

Which makes me want to see what's going on in our part of the universe more than where this ship is.

First Question: Do they just hand Jack another star every year now? He seemed to be sporting Lieutenant General's stars in that scene.

Anyway, I have a few niggles here and there, the delivery of most of the lines was neither dramatic nor comedic, but I'm hoping the timing was messed up in the trailer edit. Overall, it certainly seems interesting, I'll be giving it a fair shot when it premieres.

Cool. It does make Stargate Alantis look rather cheesy, just from the trailer. I'm looking forward to it.

Anyone know who the guy is in the middle of the trailer at 1.34ish who says "we were on a ship but we have no idea where we are in relation to Earth". He looks my type. :D

Who says that won't be explored?

Who says that won't be explored?

The premise of the show ?

Everyone's calling this Stargate: Voyager. They spent about 1 minute discussing the gigantic interstellar war that was going on back home on that show and most of that was "boo hoo hoo, the Maquis are all dead".

“Kino”: "a piece of technology on board the Destiny. It is a sleek, softball-sized orb that floats throughout the ship, capturing a first-person perspective on crew conversations. (According to producer Joseph Mallozzi’s blog, the kino will also serve as the Destiny’s version of a M.A.L.P., being sent through the Stargate to check out a destination planet by remote.)"

I'm not saying it would be a big part of the show, but I would imagine that it would be wrapped up or addressed within the first few episodes (if not the first) of what the attack was about.
