They overdo it on the haircut. Kirk always had a neat and clean haircut but you could tell he didn't spend a lot of time combing it. Just a classic simple side part. Pike must spend a lot of time in the mirror with hair products. He even took the time to do his fancy do when he was taking Batel to her final mission. I think Pikes hair is his real adventure. Lol

Ridiculous slapstick from start to finish. At moments even too much for me of all people, but you know what, the episode gets credit and an additional number from including my favorite Kid in the Hall.

Dave Foley hamming it up and Spock hallucinating Erica as a talking cactus earn this a solid 7. Stupid....and I mean stupid fun. It's the textbook definition of empty calories, but much like cotton candy I enjoyed its sugary, tooth-rotting effects.
