Not entirely surprising, considering (IIRC) he wrote more episodes than any other single person in the entire franchise period.

True. Well over 100, if memory serves me.

But around 1/3 of that list dealt with time. A bit time obsessed, to be honest.

A few outstanding, others....sigh. His quality was either on point or made you wonder if he penned the story drunk.

I give Braga credit... when he was on point, he was on point. I think what started his burnout was when he started being in charge of the writers' room of VOY.

It frazzled him too much, I think.

I dream of a day were the word canon is used correctly.

Canon and continuity are more or less the same thing now in peoples minds. At some point it's just easier to accept the new definition than fight for accuracy in labels.

Robert Beltran told the guys on The D-Con Chamber podcast that he felt the writing on VOY was not good after Jeri Taylor and Michael Piller left. He's not entirely wrong, as most of the later scripts that weren't Doctor- or Seven-centric were meh at best, and even some of those weren't very good.

IMO Voyager has 4 good seasons 1,2,4 and 5. I think Jeri Taylor left after season 4 so only one good season with Braga in complete control .

I am forced to agree with this entirely, including what seasons were good. (And even season 5 had some real duds: "THE FIGHT" and "11:59" immediately spring to mind.)

I find 11:59 to be a wholesome feel good episode, The Fight however is certainly one of the worst of VOY overall.

"The Fight" was a complete waste of Ray Walston, who was used more efficiently and to greater effect in "In the Flesh" as the Species 8472 recreation of Boothby.

"11:59" was just plain boring. It was like a Lifetime or Hallmark movie.

One of the worst things you can be in television, or entertainment in general, is boring.
