He died and reappeared a couple of times over the run of TOS.

Sometimes Chekov is at the navigation console in close ups but then there's a cutaway and wide shot and - boom, suddenly he's Lieutenant Hadley. Conclusion: Chekov was a Chameloid.

Never mind the fact he interchangeably uses "refit" and "new ship" as though the two terms mean the same thing, but need I point out the many continuity errors in Picard's second season which you yourself complained about at the time? Or are you willfully ignoring the fact that Picard's second season had the same writing staff as the third, including the blessed Lord Terry Himself?

Yep, M'benga is a tip top character, easily in my top 10 Trek characters. The character has fantastic depth, flawed but profoundly well intentioned and warm. He carries the scars of war and he feels the most "human" of all the Trek doctors really. All the Dr's are great dont get me wrong..but M'benga feels real.
