I'm really amused this movie now has a whole section in the forums, with threads below that have been around for several years. Granted, the forum layout was done in anticipating this to be an actual series.
That set dressing behind Georgiou definitely looks like a dilapidated Klingon ship to me.The consoles that Garrett is standing by seem quite retro-80's, Nostromo-y, maybe a bit dirty Klingon in appearance.
You might be right there. An old BOP, maybe? That set dressing behind Georgiou definitely looks like a dilapidated Klingon ship to me.
Yesssssss. A Sec31 forum for the tv movie and likely new series!
Backdoor pilot. *Cough* backdoor pilot *Cough*
What’ll happen in the event the loooong-gestating Khan miniseries/podcast/blogpost/whatever the hell it actually becomes finally releases?Exactly. Either this happens (which would be pretty cool, obviously) or we’ll make this a subforum under Discovery. Nothing set in stone yet, we just wanted this to be as visible as possible for when the streaming movie happens.![]()
We've been shown that both the Lost Era and early TNG had a thing for green computer readouts.Looks more like the Franklin era to me

Someone who saw the London premiere said it was funnier, sillier, and less serious-gritty than expected, compared it to 5th Element, Guardians, Mission Impossible
A bit of cleavage is sexploitation?I'm surprised to see that level of sexploitation in a modern Trek production, but it's appropriate with a Deltan.
A bit of cleavage is sexploitation?
Yes, but can you play Oregon trail? We've been shown that both the Lost Era and early TNG had a thing for green computer readouts.![]()

We seem to primarily be dealing with two ships in this film. One is the more advanced looking one that has the late TOS films / Lost Era blue LCARS looking computers.I was just about to comment on the fact the computer displays in the Garrett pic look like something from TNG S1. Which surprises the hell out of me, as that look is dated AF. I guess if the ship used in this movie is supposed to be an older one they could get away with a dated look as a means of representing age, but damn. Someone's doing their homework here.
Isn't that Strange New Worlds territory? Did they miss the whole "Rachel Garrett" thing? There seem to be folks that insist this movie is supposed to take place in the 2250s which is weird.
That’s the thing, they believe the producers made a continuity error.Isn't that Strange New Worlds territory? Did they miss the whole "Rachel Garrett" thing?
