Spoilers Skeleton Crew [Spoiler Discussion]

The parts where Wim told KB "you can be friends with me and Neel!" and her calling him "Jedi" after he saved her life were so adorable and wholesome. Excellent writing and kid-acting. I like this show so much more than most of Disney+'s Star Wars output.

You know, my one (very petty) issue with this series so far has been the ship design. It's got a great name. Onyx Cinder. Very appropriately piratical. But such a dull design.

Turns out, the show was way ahead of me on that one. LOL. An improvement. Still kitbash-y, but then the best Star Wars stuff does tend to be.

Every time I think Skeleton Crew couldn't get any better, the show goes and does something like the nail-biting scene of Wim desperately trying to save KB's life, with her own guidance. That moment was matched with Fern and KB honestly apologizing to each other (after Neel talked some sense into Fern), proving the testament of their friendship. And if that wasn't enough, the four of them banded together and relied on each of their strengths to pull their ship (and themselves) from harm's way.

I'm continuously blown away by the level of vulnerability this show has demonstrated, a show starring kids. This kind of maturity and self-reflection is far better than many other "serious" and "high-brow" dramas out there right now.

I like that they have the tiny R2 and 3PO on there. It cracks me up when the special effects people put stuff like that in there, you know there's no way anybody's going to see it onscreen, so it's obviously just for their own amusement.

Reminds me of the way the Sarah Jane Adventures was better than most of Torchwood.

I'm really enjoying this show anyway, probably the best SW since Andor.

Do we know if there are plans for a second season or is it one and done?

Somebody posted here or in another thread that it's had horrible viewing numbers, so probably not.

Tet'niss: "So 🎵 SHINY 🎶!"
:D

Like others, I really like the new look of the Onyx Cinder. It actually looks like it fits even better in the SW galaxy. The armored version was just too blocky and generic.

And the little trash crabs were just too cute, despite their ultimate motivation! Although once Tet'niss showed up, I did happen to see one that was using a Stormtrooper helmet as a shell...

Hooray, it's the #1 TV show on Disney+

Yes, because we all know "feels like Star Wars" is the easiest thing to recreate. Lucas did it perfectly with ROTJ and the Prequels, right?

The Prequels are bad. The final one is okay I suppose but none of them have the charm of the classic 3 movies. They are saved somewhat by the great Clone Wars show but not completely.

There are entire generations of "Star Wars" fans who grew up on the Prequel Trilogy and love them.
So let's not get so dismissive about it when we grew up on the Original Trilogy.
There will be another set of younger fans that grows up on the Sequel Trilogy, and that's their favorite Trilogy.

We should be more supportive of everybodys fandom within Star Wars.
