Spoilers Skeleton Crew [Spoiler Discussion]

He may just be a tad force sensitive and know a few tricks. That's it. Certainly doesn't know enough to become full dark side.

Very glad that they didn't make Jod a "scoundrel with a heart of gold" type who turned out to be okay after all.

He's a huge tool and the show is all the better for it.

Can't wait for the finale!

I still think he is not as immoral as he seems but he much darker than I was expecting him to be when the show started. More like someone who will do just about anything evil, but still has a code and that is he doesn't kill kids. Threaten them and exploit them is fine. But he won't kill them. something like that.

Really? That just makes more dull in my opinion. Very one dimensional

In retrospect, the revelation that the Onyx Cinder was a stolen mint transport followed smoothly and organically from what we knew. The revelation as to the nature of the barrier was also well-executed.

Another major missing piece is the Supervisor, whom (or that!) I hope we're about to see.

Jod certainly seems sinister, and maybe he is, but I think everything about him, especially his origins and what he's doing all this for, is still very much up in the air.

Well that's a cliffhanger.

So yes as said, the Supervisor is the big surprise now. We know what Jod is all about, I could be wrong and probably am, but don't think there will be too many more surprises with him. I think the droids would react when the lightsaber was produced. Did they have stun guns or was that a feature built into them? I didn't notice.

There has to be some other big twist. It would be cool when Jod produces the lightsaber and takes a swing at the kids because the parents are not being cooperative and is suddenly stopped in mid arc, everyone turns to see Wim's father using the force to stop Jod and Wim then realizing his father was Jedi the entire time.

I just had a thought. What if the supervisor, whoever/whatever it is, was fully aware of the fall of the Republic, the Empire, the rebellion, the return of the Jedi, all that? Jod would be totally called out.

I'm actually glad to see that I was wrong about Jod being a pirate with a heart of gold underneath his rough exterior. I was finally persuaded of that notion the moment he not only threatened the lives of our heroes and their parents, but how he also described in detail how he would carve the parents up if our heroes didn't behave. Beheading a droid is one thing (rest in peace, 33!) but the sheer sincerity Jod expressed with that menace left no doubt. I'm still curious exactly who he is with his skilled usage of the Force and the lightsaber, even while his goal is clearly pure greed (the lust in his eyes at seeing all of those credits!). On the plus side, he did spare the little bugger that lived inside 33's head.

I keep going back and forth on whether we'll have a big reveal in the finale about the identity of the Supervisor. The show is deliberately holding back on that point, but at the same time, I feel like the show is playing up our expectations before subverting them in the end.

For those who have deeper knowledge of Star Wars lore, any thoughts on the etchings in the conference room of the trio of women? For a moment, I thought they were the Mortis gods until I realized they were all women. Even as someone who loved those episodes and their connections with Rebels and Ahsoka, I'm actually glad the etchings weren't them. Which comes back to the point, who are they?

I've had the same thought since at least the visit to At Achrann. But I'm still going back and forth about whether the Supervisor is Rennod or anyone else we would know (within the show or out).

....a trio of women, you say?

I don’t expect him to be heroic or anything. Just have a little more than this.
He does have a little more "than this." He was helpful and empathetic to the kids. He actually rescued them on more than one occasion. He has an intriguing, mysterious backstory (force sensitive, force powers) and a host of aliases, allies and frenemies. He's charming and clever. But, at the end of the day, he's also all about the credits. He's a villain, but he's a very dimensional one.

Sounds like you just wanted him to be the standard lovable rogue. Bleh. Been there, done that.
