Spoilers Skeleton Crew [Spoiler Discussion]

If that captain and ship are legendary, it have been a spell since that ship crashed on At Attain. And even longer since the planet was cut off from the galaxy. Likely before the Clone Wars, and maybe even before the events in the Acolyte. Potentially deep into the High Republic era, but hopefully not the thousand years ago Old Republic era.

You don't think he's killed anybody? How about all the people on that freighter that the pirates killed in the first episode under his orders? What about the captain of that ship who was thrown out of the airlock on his orders?

Oh yeah, right. lol

My money is Jod was the Captain that was betrayed by his Concubine and the Concubine was Pokkit. Kelly MacDonald is to much of a accomplished actor to not only be introduced this late in the show but to not also have a big part in the final episodes IMO. My money is Jod is force sensitive but not a Jedi or ex Jedi. But Pokkit might be one. She went undercover to stop him from looting At attain which is a planet protected by the Jedi even after the fall of the Republic because their is something about it that would help the Empire become even more powerful if they found the planet.
I doubt it, we've seen little bits and hints that Jod had at least some Jedi training, like his talk with Wim, and I really can't see Pokkit being a Jedi. Plus, I'm pretty sure all of the stuff that went down on the Onyx Cinder was way to long ago for them to be personally involved.

I'm starting to suspect the Ats were hidden away back during the High Republic era. I'm reading The High Republic: The Rising Storm, and it specifically said that the Great Works were set up by the current Republic Chancellor Lina Soh in order to build up and improve the Republic. So my theory right now is Soh set up the Jewels as part of the Great Works, and when the conflict with the Nihil started to get worse, she decided to hide them away from the rest of the galaxy as a way to protect them from the Nihil.

Also we can see Tak Rennod's face partly in the hologram message, he's a Weequay not Human.

The giant ass skull behind his chair is also Weequay-esque, the spikes on the chin.

Yeah, it sounded like they ran out before they got melted.
StarWars.com has posted a new interview with the Supervising Sound Eitor Matthew Wood and Sound Designer David W. Collins.

It's definitely worth a read, they reveal lots of little pieces of trivia about the sources of a lot of the sounds, and some subtle ones to keep an ear out for during a rewatch.

I just finish off watching episode 6. Now, it is now clear the whole season 1 is a kid's movie. Like, what's the deal of this? I am watching a bunch of child actors doing a kid's movie . So, it's disappointing
No more a kid's movie that Episode 4, in my view. Probably the closest to the feel of Star Wars that I had in 1977 of any SW product. Fun. Action packed. Good characters. Interesting visuals. Nice adventure story. Much better than the Mandalorian

Full disclosure, I was 18 in '77.

Oddly enough, this and Andor are the best Star Wars of this Century.

I liked the repair scene but wouldn’t that be very hot to handle? Kid acted like it was nothing.

Anyone know if they are making multiple seasons to this or if it’s another one and done show?

It's a one-and-done in that they didn't plan for another season so it's a self-contained story. However, they do have ideas for more adventures should a pickup happen. But the story wouldn't pick up right after this season ends because of how many years will have passed for the child actors.
